Camel Humpoglyphics Instant-Win Game ("Game")

https://sites.tobaccopleasure.com/CSN/

(CLICK ON THE PICTURE OF A PRESENT AT RH TOP OF PAGE)

Limit one (1) Play per person/PID per day

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND NECESSARY TO PLAY OR WIN. PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.

THIS GAME IS INTENDED FOR PLAY IN THE UNITED STATES ONLY AND WILL BE GOVERNED BY U.S. LAW. DO NOT PLAY IF YOU ARE NOT ELIGIBLE AND LOCATED IN THE UNITED STATES AT THE TIME OF GAME PLAY.

1. ELIGIBILITY: OPEN TO LEGAL RESIDENTS OF THE 50 UNITED STATES AND WASHINGTON D.C., EXCLUDING RESIDENTS OF MA AND MI, WHO ARE TOBACCO CONSUMERS 21 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER AT THE TIME OF ENTRY AND HAVE A VALID PERSONAL IDENTIFICATION NUMBER ("PID") AND PASSWORD PROVIDED BY THE SPONSOR. NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY TO ACQUIRE A PID. GAME VOID IN MA, MI AND WHEREVER PROHIBITED BY LAW. (To obtain a free PID, see Rule #3, below.) Employees, officers and directors (and their immediate families [spouse, children, parents, siblings, and their respective spouses] and those living in their same households) of R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company ("Sponsor"), its parent, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and Web masters/suppliers are not eligible. By participating, entrants agree to abide by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding in all matters relating to this Game. Game subject to applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.

2. GAME PERIOD: Game begins at 12:00:00 p.m. (noon) Eastern Standard Time ("EST") on February 1, 2012 and ends at 11:59:59 a.m. Eastern Standard Time ("EST") on December 11, 2012 ("Game Period"). Sponsor's computer is the official clock for this Game.

3. TO PLAY: Visit www.camel.com or www.CamelSNUS.com ("Websites"), during the Game Period, look for the "CAMEL Instant-Win Game" link, and follow the online instructions to play the Game. Click on indicated instant-win area to find out if you're a winner (a "Play"). Randomly-selected times during the Game Period will be chosen by the Sponsor, and the first entrant who completes a Play in accordance with the online instructions (whose Play is properly received and recorded by Sponsor's computer on or immediately after a randomly-selected time during the Game Period) will win a prize (subject to verification). If your screen displays a prize-winning message, you are a winner of the prize indicated (subject to verification). If your screen does not display a prize-winning message, you are not a winner. All Plays must be received and recorded during the Game Period. Limit one (1) Play per person/PID per day. A day is defined as the 24 hours between 12:00:00 p.m. and the following 11:59:59 a.m. (EDT or EST depending on the day/time of Play). Plays generated by a robotic, programmed, script, macro or other automated means will be disqualified. Any attempt by any person to submit more than one (1) Play per day by using multiple/different PIDs or any other methods will void all of that person's Plays.

How to obtain a Free PID and update your PID contact information: A valid PID issued by Sponsor and password will be required to play the Game. A PID and password can be obtained for free at the Websites by registering as a new member. No responsibility is assumed for failure to contact an entrant due to that entrant's failure to maintain or update his/her contact information. Contact information may be updated by following the online instructions. Each entrant is responsible for the security of his/her PID and password. Each entrant should take precautions to keep his/her PID and password private to prevent unauthorized use. Sponsor will not be responsible for any losses, damages or consequences you may suffer due to careless or unauthorized use of a PID and password. Entrants must use only one (1) PID and password and must only use the PID and password assigned to entrant by Sponsor. Should any entrant attempt to use more than one PID and/or password, or a PID and/or password that was not assigned to entrant, that entrant and their plays may be disqualified.

By registering for a PID, entrants may automatically be added to the Sponsor's e-mail and mailing distribution list. You may subsequently opt out by logging on to www.camel.com and making changes within your profile regarding the receipt of e-mail and/or mail from Sponsor. Opting off either distribution list will not affect entrant's chance of winning Plays occurring before the opt-out instruction, however, it will impact the entrant's ability to access the Websites and make future Plays. Please see Sponsor's Privacy Policy located at camel.tobaccopleasure.com/modules/FooterLinks/Privacy.aspx for details regarding the use of personal information collected in connection with this Game.

4. PRIZES/ODDS: Grand Prizes (13,000): Each Grand Prize winner will receive one (1) $50 MasterCard® Prepaid Code. Approximate Retail Value ("ARV"): $50 each. First Prizes (85,000): Each First Prize winner will receive one $25 MasterCard® Prepaid Code. ARV: $25 each. Prepaid Codes are subject to terms and conditions as set by the MasterCard issuer, First California Bank and are only valid for use at certain online retailers. Winners must accept prize as stated by Sponsor, or prize will be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner. Winners may not substitute, assign or transfer a prize, or redeem a prize for cash, but Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize with a prize of equal or greater value should a stated prize become unavailable. Odds of winning depend on the time of day when you play the Game and the number of Plays received. Total ARV of all prizes offered is $2,775,000. Limit one (1) Grand Prize and one (1) First Prize, per PID/person/household/address. Unclaimed prizes will not be awarded.

I finally won $25 from this!!! I'm so excited because I can never seem to win ANY of these IWG...not the BIC pen, or Skoal, or even the Black&Mild one. I also haven't won the Samsung Genome Project, or Coors Light...or even a box of Triscuits. So this came as quite a shock. LMAO

Yep, i did exactly that, still nothing
I noticed that once you filled in your information correctly on the separate prize redemption page, the agreement for the Mastercard popped up automatically (which you must accept), and then the information for the card sneakily shows up below the information that you just filled out. I almost didn't notice it was there. What makes this odd is that there is still a button you can click that says something like "Generate card" or whatever. So after I took a screenshot of my gc information, I clicked that button (in case I was supposed to be taken to the next screen or given an actual picture of a card...I wasn't sure), and then I got the yellow bar that notified me my prize had already been redeemed.

I filled out my birthday without any slashes, and I just used the postal abbreviation for my state. I also used the same email address that I had used with Camel.

That's weird, when i filled it out and did all that it gave me a yellow bar immediately, i don't think my GC went through because it would be under my account. If you logged onto your up2u account, do you see your GC listed under your account?

That was my first time creating an account on up2u, but yes, I can see it on my account. If you can't see it on yours, then it either wasn't credited by Camel, or wasn't properly verified by up2u (there had to be some disconnect between the two sites, or a mistake with the prize number). What a shame! Definitely contact that phone number given.

Yea i was afraid it didn't register and i'm not gonna get my prize but i called the number and the lady that helped me seemed to have all my info including the up2u one. She also told me that i am noted in their system that i won so hopefully everything pulls through. She also told me a lot of people have been having this same exact problem and told me to email the support email and said that it can take longer than expected because there's more people with the issue than expected.

Wow, good to know. What a bummer. It's always nice to win something, but when it doesn't go smoothly that really puts a damper on it. Keep us posted on when you actually receive it!

Yea i know it's not much but a win is still a win and i don't wanna feel cheated. Free stuff is always good.. Would have been better if i could have spent it instantly, i'll be sure to post what happens since it probably will happen with a lot of people, i followed the information to input the info exactly but it still didn't work so that couldn't have been it.

Hi, I tried buying something online that was more than the egift card amount and it wouldn't go through or let me make a split payment. So I just paypaled the amount of the egift card to myself. It worked.
What cut did Paypal take from this? I want to do this but I don't want to lose $0.50 or $1.00 if I can find something for exactly $25 to buy online. Like an Amazon giftcard, maybe.

Mine did the same thing with the yellow bar at the top and nothing went through. I was using google chrome when it didnt work with the yellow bar so I tried it on Internet explorer and it went through just fine then. That might have been the issue, or it might have just finally decided to work. But just thought I'd share just in case it has something to do with it going through! Hope you get yours working!

I went back a few pages (to the posts from early May) and didn't see anything about this anywhere, so I'm curious to hear if any of you got the same message. My Mom was accessing the SNUS challenge portion of Camel's site when this message popped up:

"Thank you for posting for Challenge 1. On behalf of your friends at Camel we're sending you a music gift card for helping us make this program better." And all it says is to look for it in the mailbox soon and to call if it doesn't arrive within 8 - 10 weeks; no information about the amount is giving, and this is not listed under the "swag". I did see someone post on Camel about how they "won" a $10 iTunes gc...could this be the same thing? My Mom hasn't won anything from Camel, yet.

Pretty sure paypal always takes an 4% cut so that's about $1

Yes, PayPal took $1. But I didn't want to take the risk in losing the gift card or being expired. Because they give you like a week before the amount would be expired. $24 is better than nothing...

I guess I should of gotten an Amazon gift card instead... Good to know for next time. Thanks

Sorry if i have missed this, but is there a number to call if you didn't get a card number? I just had the same thing happen- a $25 win, but only a yellow bar, no card number given, and it's showing in my camel swag but not in my up2U account. This was my first time registering for up2Urewards, so not sure if that has anything to do with it...

In the rules it says the Mastercard expires in three months. I double-checked this on my up2Urewards account and it does say the expiration date is in November. I really hope it doesn't disappear in a week...has this happened in the past? Confused

From what I've read in earlier posts where people had the same problem as you, it sounds like the best course of action is to email [email protected] if you want a fairly quick response (24hrs or so). Don't use the support email on up2u's main page. HTH!
