Right now I have a 20 gauge mossberg 500 pump action for hunting, and a Henry Lever Action .22 for target shooting.

Trying to get my pistol permit, long process!

On the upside I live no where near the city. I'd be completely out of luck then. Only got about a 10 months waiting period in my county for my permit. Big Grin

Haha. I can drive over to Cabela's and walk out with a pistol in 20 minutes. bounce

Yea, I never got why they make the distinction. I walked out of gander with my shotgun in 20 minutes, and my brother took less time to walk about with his .30-30 ... but no, a pistol would be dangerous!

Yeah, the law is kind of screwy.

12+ — Buy rifle ammo with a note from a parent (may be some caliber restrictions; can't remember)

18+ — Buy any rifle/shotgun and any rifle/shotgun ammo

21+ — Buy pistol / pistol ammo

Now here's the funny part, you can buy 9mm 'pistol' ammo at age 18, as long as you say it's for a rifle. :|

Also, I think you can be any age and buy a black powder/mussel loader gun.


Hmm, that looks like a sweet pistol for self protection!

Screw that - S&W 6906 sitting in front of me right now - Ruger P89 for shits and giggles because it eats anything - lots of 22's just for plinking - 1911 for some more force power - and the list goes on - just don't fark with my house or me - mkay look around I like my Walther for my purse - it's nice and dainty Girly or my .38 Special - either/or. Long guns with scopes are for outdoor use, or unless I want to skeer a neighbor Coverlaugh

The whole list, or just what I carry? Stick Out Tongue

I carry a Ruger LCP or a Glock 36. The other list is a bit longer...AR15, Remington 870, Ruger 10/22, Mosin Nagant M44 Carbine, an old 20ga break open, 16ga break open, and a Winchester 30/30. I had a Romanian WASR10 but sold it last year.

My main carry weapon is a Smith and Wesson M&P 40c. I also own a two-tone Sig P226R chambered for .40 S&W. As far as rifles go, I own a .308 bolt-action, an AR-15 (5.56, not .223), and a Sig 522. I also own a Mossy 500.

Right now, the only other weapon I'd like to get is the Mossy 930 SPX. It's hella fun to shoot.
