Gotcha. But if you got one, you could take it with you when you move. Or you could sell it on CL or to another neighbor. The two window units I have were bought and put in in our last house that didn't have central air because it was 100 years old. I'm glad i have them now.

Well every house we are considering has central air. And if I bought one now I'd have to hold on to it till next summer. No one will want one in October. laugh out loud

You are a brave woman. I hate sweating for any other purpose than physical exertion.

The power went out on Friday so this is day 4 with no power. The last I heard is that it should be back on by Sunday.

I've got the genny hooked up to run a window unit, fridge, computer, and tv. The only part that really sucks is having to run out to the pool, get a bucket of water, and fill up the toilet tank just to use the bathroom.

I haven't put on pants since getting home from the airport yesterday.
