Got in on the Lightroom 3 deal and just called in and was able to get my free Lightroom 4 Upgrade. Took some time and explaining though -
First called into sales who transferred me over to customer support. He asked for my serial number and confirmed my LR3 purchase and went to speak with a manager who said it wasn't valid on the student/teacher edition. I told him I was looking at the policy on the website right now and read him the first line where it clearly states it is valid on educational software. He then said hold on and brought up the same policy and read it to me - went and talked to his "manager" again and gave me the deal. Good thing is it looks like it's the non-academic version (doesn't student/teacher say on my order). Either way, it's a free upgrade for those who were able to score LR3 at this price. Here is the link to Adobe's policy: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/153/tn_15304.html |

I use it for freelance work as well as school work but to me It does not look like it is worth the upgrade. As far as Illustrator goes anything new or amazing? That has become my #1 program for the last few years.
So as long as I deactivate it on an older computer I can install and use it on a new computer, correct?

Premium Design may be the best choice.
Well - for those hoping to get by on just email addresses.. it looks like you still have to submit a shot of your ID/Bill, etc.... Save your time if you do not have this..

And the answer is no. The license is legally tied to the person who submitted the eligibility requirements.
