Yeah i throw it in the freezer at work so it's good and cold for the trip home, and then i put it in the deep freezer when i get home. The younger kids don't eat it, but it feeds us so we can afford to buy the healthier stuff for them.

It freezes just fine, and we just throw it in a pan or on the grill to heat it up. It's the same thing as putting leftovers in the fridge and heating them up later. The freezer just provides a longer period of time between reheats.

It's not a giveaway. We have a lot BBQ place come out with their BBQ truck and make everything there on the spot. They come with a truck full of food, cook it all up, and then leave. I take whatever is left over.

I used to end up with the leftovers from cookouts at the old job. We don't have them here.

good thing we don't work at the same place, you would have to get used to sharing. Swordfight I have several large containers and gallon size freezer bags just for leftovers from work-related events. People looked at me funny initially when I showed up with the containers, but after several years of no raises (public serfdom at its finest), now several of us grab leftovers and consider it an employee benefit.

Exactly! I mean i've gotten some very good raises (doubled my starting salary), but I've got lots of expenses. Fortunately, I'm finally at a spot where I'm breaking even. But everyone at work knows to let me know if there are leftovers or anything from a corporate event.

This one and the Christmas lunch are where I stock up. I usually leave with about 20 turkey carcases that suffice for lots and lots of broth, and, aside from this year, I usually leave with lots of leftover food. This year there weren't any leftovers (other than the carcases) because they cut back on the amount of food they would provide and made it a potluck. They only provided the turkeys.

laugh out loud I just saw that. I don't often use the word "serf" unless I'm using it in "serfdom", but you won't ever find me saying "surfdom".
