Images must have been taken since March 1, 2010 and within the state of North Carolina in order to be eligible.
Photographs must be in digital format. No print or film submissions will be accepted for entry into this contest. The photograph need not be taken with a digital camera; scans of negatives, transparencies or photographic prints are acceptable. All digital files must be submitted in jpg format only.
Photographs that have won other contests (online or print) or from which entrant has earned money are not eligible. Having received a designation of Grand, First, Second, or Third Place overall constitutes winning a contest.

Entrants must not submit images that involve the willful harassment of people or animals, damage to the environment by the photographer, the taking of risks, or that infringe on the rights of any other photographer, person, or animal.
Photo descriptions must accompany all submissions, and should included the subject of the image, the location where the image was taken, approximate date the image was taken.
