beginning on April 4th, 2012 at 12:00 a.m. Eastern Time ("ET") and ending on May 28, 2012 at 11:59 p.m. ET
Limit one Entry per person.
submitting one of the following types of entries (each an "Entry"), describing how the work you're doing is making the world around you better: 1) a written submission of 250 Words or Less (Entrants may also submit a photo, although it's not required); (2) a video of no longer than 2 Minutes (120 Seconds). Entries may be submitted either (i) by completing the Contest application
open only to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States, the District of Columbia or Canada (excluding the province of Quebec) who are at least nineteen (19) years of age or older at the time of the entry
Judging Stage: Sponsor and/or its designated representative(s) will judge the Entries, which judging shall consider factors including the clarity and relevance in answering the question, "how are your hands changing the world?", the nature of the world-changing work described in the Entry, and the creativity of the Entry. The Entries will be ranked based on the factors above, with the top ten (10) being the "Finalists." Judging of the Finalists' Entry's will be completed by May 31, 2012
Voting Stage: During the Voting Period (beginning on June 4th, 2012 at 12:00 a.m. Eastern Time ("ET") and ending on July 1st, 2012 at 11:59 p.m. ET), visitors to the Carhartt Facebook page will have the opportunity to vote to select their favorite Entry or Entries.
Prizes:
a) Prizes: "Prizes" awarded in the Contest are as follows: (i) 1 "Grand Prize" consisting of a check for $10,000 in US Dollars payable to the winner of the Grand Prize;
(ii) Nine (9) "Secondary Prizes," each consisting of a $100 USD gift certificate redeemable for purchases made at Carhartt.com.
