3 points per mail-in request, nice!

So I have a question....3 points per mail-in request for a code. Which means that $9 worth of stamps gets you a $110 fleece jacket, and $6 worth of stamps gets you a $150 pair of sunglasses. And you do not have to buy the product, just invest a little time in writing out the requests.
As you may know, those prices are retail and not what it costs to manufacture. I have a friend whose company does branded clothing and such for companies, etc. and to say a fleece jacket costs $110 does not reflect what it cost to make it or sew on a logo! Like sweatshirts & t-shirts, they are dirt cheap.

It's probably a win-win for consumer and for the companies involved. Go nuts!

i recieved around 25 requests back today, so about 2 weeks to arrive, the site keeps crashing for me, but i can confirm that the one code i was able to redeem was 3 points woot

the site doesn't come up right on chrome but it works on internet explorer. Edit: It only worked good enough for me to see the quantities and that was it. Now it doesn't work at all.

Have you used any more of those codes?
I've mailed out a total of 36 requests now.

Did you buy Dew codes twice off ebay? If so, you're attacking this sweepstakes hardcore!

The quantities are shown on IE, too. Sunglasses down to 340. drool

you should get those requests back soon Smilie

all the codes i got from mtn dew were 3 points Big Grin

i only bought 100, 2 pters off ebay, for $65.00, so me and my family got

5 sunglasses
5 big bobber coolers
2 fleece beanis
2 folding tables
1 shirt

for about $150.00, plus got alot of 3 pters left, probaly going to go on ebay, or trades, i was going to get 5 of those lamplights things, but i figured the big bobber cooler would go for more since there were only 400 made and it has the mtn dew logo on it but idk, will have to see when they get put up

So you're cashing in for way more prizes than you should get just to then sell them on eBay? People like you ruin these promos Mad I know you could have 5 accounts if you have five people in your home but still, not cool.

Thats not fair to say. I was let down by these promos back in the day when I wanted to redeem my points for the collector green mountain dew xbox... But truthfully, now I see both sides to this. I help to support my family and give them the things they need by doing promotions to give them what they want and selling the stuff I can't use. I don't only make my wife and daughter happy, but a lot of times close friends, family and neighbors benefit buy getting things well below retail value from me.

Haha I remember that Xbox fiasco. I called and complained how they sold out in less than a minute on the last day and they gave me one of their back-ups they had in case anyone got a defective unit. Big Grin

But really, everyone getting like 20 prizes to give to others, what is this the promo salvation army? At least let some fellow SD'ers get in on some prizes before you hoarde them for you and yours. I want like 2 things from this promo and that's it, no Christmas shopping from Mt Dew for me. shake head

um, its not cashing in if we paid for the codes, plus after all the fees I might get $100, not that much if you ask me, i didnt get more than I should have, i got 1 in each tier, and im pretty sure 99% of the people that do these promos dont use the crappy prizes, to be honest im not the only on on THIS SITE that is doing this, i would rather sell it to someone for a cheaper price, than have it sit in my closet the rest of my life, honestly i think you need to stop hating on us, because we know how to abide by the rules and get the most out of a promo, grow up

So why hassle for $100 for stuff you don't care about anyways. Anywho I'm done with this anyways. Most people seem to be going for the cheap crap versus the sleeping bag, tent, or grill.

As mentioned earlier in this thread, stores have to get rid of what's in stock first, so wait a week or so and you'll see them pop up shortly. I'd say the regular bottles would be first, followed by 12-packs, then 24-packs.

I finally found some in WI, but it's way cheaper, faster, and healthier to mail in for some codes. bounce

i mailed out 28 5/3 and 84 5/4, i think ill wait until i get the codes to send out the rest, just to see if they're 3 points or not, i hope they are, because then i can give some away Big Grin

also to save time i print out the my name and address/ the address to send to, now i know it says no mechanically reproduced requests, but ive been doing it this way for years (since 06) to be exact, but if you dont want to run the risk, i understand, just giving a little advice Smilie
Do you have to put a slip with your address inside too?? Or do they take it off the sender's address?

just to verify, those that received their codes, what did you send?

Just a stamped outer envelope with a paper inside with your address on it? Or did you include a SASE?

Yes, just a paper with address. It was covered earlier in the thread. If you're going for the sunglasses, it may be too late. They'll be gone in 2 weeks or less. EEK!
