Child rape and molestation. Obviously.

Gimme that 458, he has no idea how to handle that beast.
Seriously... most of the people that drive that stuff have zero idea how to actually handle that kind of car, or even appreciate it for what it is. Most of them use them as status symbols. Sad, really.

I know. Or they think that driving up to 90-110mph on the highway is "pushing it to its limits". If I could afford a 458, you better believe I am doing as many track days as possible. I wouldn't buy a 458 in the first place, but that is another story.

What would you buy?

If I wanted a ready-built track car, I'd get a Exige S and call it a day.

Ah, dreams.

Yup, cars like that are built to be able to do track days. ..sigh..

laugh out loud Amen.. I probably won't own a Ferrari in my lifetime (though I won't say *never*). My next car I want is Porsche Cayman S. Similar performance to the base 911, but cheaper and just as fun (with better balance since it's mid-engined and not rear-engined). You can bet I'll be doing a few track days with it once I get it.. Make sure it's driven the way it's supposed to be.

The idea of a Lotus crossed my mind - Elise or Exige would be fun, no doubt. I have an unrequited love with open-wheel cars, so I would be inclined to spend some time in an Atom, Caterham, KTM X-Bow, or cars that are similar.

I was never a big Porsche fan, although there is no denying their performance. I do like the GT/GT2/GT3-style cars though. There is something about center-locking wheels that is just so awesome. I took these crappy pictures at a car show in CA I was at this summer - you are an MB guy right? I had never seen a Black-series AMG in person before.

I like the Benz AMG's. The blacks are gorgeous. I spied this downtown a few weekends ago:
SLS AMG

The AMG's are just a balls to the wall car. I'm driving a 3-series right now though and wouldn't mind a C-Class AMG or an M3 in the future, but I'm kinda having a love affair with Porsche right now. heh. There was a GT3 RS in orange parked a few spots down from me at F1 on friday. Great cars, just not practical really outside of a track.

The SLS is pretty nuts, I have seen a couple on the streets and they sounds almost musclecar-ish. I also saw an Enzo at the car show (it was actually Cars & Coffee in Irvine CA which is pretty well known). I would like an older M3, the last one that had the inline-6. I have never been in one but they seem like they would be a lot of fun. Not really practical in New England though.

We should start an official "Car Chat" thread.
