Now I'm getting conflicting reports from Macy's. Their chat agents say the gift card is valid and nothing wrong with it, just that the online system is down but Gift Card services are saying there is a hold on it. So not sure what in the world is going on at Macy's. Combine that with items disappearing from site in seconds, their whole online thing seems so glitchy.

EDIT: After having to call 3 different numbers, someone finally told me they put a hold on them because there was a possible "compromise" and that they need to verify people entered the promotion through the site before they can release any of the holds. Ugh. I know one of my friends who also won but was missing the last digit of their gift card (even I went over to their house and looked at the email, it was indeed missing the last digit for the gift card!) and tried to get it through the gift card phone system and it eventually just kept sending them to a rep, who was of no help. I bet that's what caused all of this.

Not to keep bumping this thread but I was told that people who bought things with the $100 gift certificates are most likely going to have their items returned to shipper before they are even delivered! So if you won a $100 gift card on here from this promo keep a CLOSE watch on your order/tracking. I was told this is ONLY for the $100 Gift Certificates, not the high value ones such as the $500 ones they were giving out, and I know the $1,000 ones you had to send a form in for anyways but none of the $500 ones are affected by this security hold, only the $100 gift certificates....I was told this by both Macy's AND e-prize.

Dang that is very disappointing. Did they say if/when they would re-activate the $100 gift cards so that people who won can actually use them? My friend and I both won a $100 gift card from this promo but when I tried to use mine online, it said to call a 1-800 number because apparently the site couldn't check the balance online. When I called they transferred me to a representative who said it has a hold on it but he didn't know when the hold would be removed Frown

No info on when/if the holds will be removed or if they'll void and re-issue the gift cards. The Macy's people didn't know what was going on and the lady from e-prize just told me "there was a ummm...possible compromise.." and that's all she would tell me and didn't give me any other info about how long they would be on a hold and if they'll even release them. To me they should have just voided out all the $100 ones that were won and re-issue new ones to the winners as they have the winner email and the amount they won I'm sure. Oh well, another e-liez promotion to deal with and try not to pull your hair out over.

I just did a mock order online with my $100 GC (but I didn't check out) and it took $100 off my order. So if I actually checked out, there would be a problem with my order or the GC wouldn't work? Or is the issue that some people don't even have a balance on their card to begin with? I don't plan on using my GC until later this year, so hopefully there won't be any problems when I go to use it!

There's a chance they could void the order, not sure how many gift cards were affected or if it was all of them or what but just was told there was a possible compromise on the $100 gift cards, maybe they are working again who knows.

EDIT: Nope, mine are still on a hold Frown makes me sad and not want anything to do with e-prize anymore if they are going to pull stunts like this.

Just an update, still not working and no word from eprize either. I've emailed them through the promotion site and it says someone will contact me within three business days, that was on Monday when I contacted them and no email back from them yet. Frown

This is the only email I've received from them so far:

"Hello,

Thank you for reaching out.

We are currently looking into this, and will provide additional information shortly.

Thanks!

Sincerely,
Kyle
ePrize Customer Service"

no email back yet with "additional information" and the hold is still on the cards Frown. Not sure what's up with ePrize.

What email address was that sent from? I want to email them too; this is just crazy that these cards have holds on them. I haven't gotten my $5 Amazon Gift Card from another ePrize promo yet, either. Mad

Was just told (because I use one of those "disposable" mail services to keep junk mail from promos down in my inbox! Learned this the hard way) that I had "entered multiple times" when in fact I didn't and my $100 gift card will be void. So much for eprize being a fair judgement company if you can't even use a disposable email address to help keep spam out of your inbox without being flagged and denied a prize.
I emailed them through the site and the email I got back contained the following:

The email it came from was: [email protected]
Subject line: Scan for a Grand/Prize Fulfillment

So apparently they had technical glitches with this game, as apparently people know already. I just received an e-mail from ePrize stating they did a second chance drawing because all the prizes were not awarded and I won one of the $1,000 gift cards!

Congrats. According to the rules any prizes not claimed or any disqualified wins will go to second chance drawings. Someone probably got Cooljay's prize too.
