This site has information on how to add a heater to a small pool. Remember you will need to insulate it somehow or the heat will be quickly lost.

one of the Walmart reviews mentioned the hose set up on the 14' is different than other because said reviewer had a salt pump from a larger intex that couldn't connect to this pool due to hose size.

Anyone know about this issue?

I have a sand pump for a larger pool and a saltwater system for this size pool - both work great!

A decent pump with a sand filter plus proper chlorination will keep the water sparkling. There will always be stuff - leaves, dead flies, dirt -- that settles on the bottom and needs vacuumed out though.

Best price I have found this year is 12.5% chlorine, four 1 gallon jugs per box @ $9.99 at Fleet Farm. (I use only liquid chlorine. Will NOT use powder or tabs. Ever.)
Me thinks you don't really have any reason to assert that other than the fact they you're a noob.

3" tabs work awesome. They're slow dissolving and concentrated as hell. It doesn't matter what size pool you have. Hook a feeder inline, put a few tabs in and adjust the valve until the correct amount enters the pool. IT MUST BE MAGIC.

You can walk away for a week and not have to worry about it.

It stays on the high side (100), but that's fine. The pool is exposed to extreme sun all summer and the water gets very warm. It has a high bathing load and I keep FC about 8-10.

And we're talking about little baby pools that you're dumping at the end of the summer. I doubt you're going to use so many tabs that your cya is going to be sky high before you dump it.

And oh noes. What's the worst that I have to do? Dump the pool some and put fresh in? Whoopdeedoo.

Of course I'd rather have a salt water system, but the cheap asses will never spend the money for that.

Hot tubs are the pain in the ass. People are disgusting.

You may be talking about little baby pools that you dump at the end of the year but I'm not. And I wasn't talking to you.
