PUT A FORK IN IT... THIS OFFER IS DEAD!.

This info is buried in an expired thread from a few days ago, so it would be difficult to find it. Thanks eryeal for the info!

To apply for a credit card by phone, please call 1-800-932-2775 and a personal service representative will help you. Please mention priority code VABJOM. It took me 14 minutes to apply.

This is through Bank of America. I already have the Visa Signature Cashback Card and asked if I could apply for this one and the rep said it's a different promotion, so it was OK to apply.

Not sure if this number will help if you are not instantly approved... but this is the (Credit Analyst) for reconsideration phone number 866-458-8805 (only open during normal business hours).

*Update 7/23/2012 for those that already have this card* - I already have this card and called in to apply for it anyways. I told the rep I already have the card and she said I could still apply and she was right. I just now called the reconsideration line and the guy approved me for this card and the BOA Mastercard giving $300 cashback for a total of $700. Good to keep in mind in case you find a great deal on a card you already have... just call in and see if you can get another card with the great promotion.
Glad I could be of help to the people that got in. And thanks to the people that gave reps... as impressively small of a group as you were, I appreciate it.

This seems to be VERY YMMV.
Depends on which rep you get.
I got through at about 1:30pm EST, gave the rep named Michael the code, and during his reading out the terms to me he ended off "and you will get a bonus $400 after spending $500 within 90 days". I didnt even have to ask.
But it seems some reps have caught on and wont give you the $400 promo if they think you werent targeted for the offer.
Good luck to all.
Given that we're all using the same promotional code, shouldn't we all be awarded the same promotion regardless of whether the CSR can "see" the CB offer or verbally states the CB offer?

Are you referring to your FICO score? If so, how did you get a perfect credit score of 850? That's really hard to do.

650 credit score ? what my change of getting approved ?
I'd guess not instant approval, but that would all depend on why your score is just 650. The way I see it though is it's worth the risk for 80% CB, that is unless you plan on making a huge purchase really soon and can't afford for your credit score to go any lower.

Thats essentially exactly what the CSR told me. She cant see the offer, but the offer code is tied directly to the CB offer. Only way of knowing for sure though is to wait til people start getting their cards in the mail and the documents that come with it. Like others have mentioned, I probably wont bother activating it if there is no promo.

I'm assuming he means no delinquencies / lates / public records.

Good point there. Given that the credit pull has already occurred by the time you received notice in the mail and you decide ultimately not to activate, how would you suspect that will reflect in your credit report/history? Will there just be no evidence of that particular card reflected, but rather only an inquiry will show up?

If I have bad credit (which I'm trying to rebuild now), do I have a chance still for this offer?

Anyone with average credit got thru on this promo?

You know that even if the credit card isn't activated, the credit card account will still be open right? I don't know if you know this since I think some people seem to believe that if they don't activate the card, the account will never exist.

I was able to do an instant approval.. but when she read out all the terms and offers there is nothing for $400 cash back.. like others said I'm crossing my fingers. If they say no cash back, will share the screen shots to get the cash back. But still I feel YMMV. I asked the rep and she said when she enter the promo code she was able to pull the visa singnature casr details but no information on cash backs.

Note: if the rep ask you how you got this code, you can inform then that after you logged out of the checking account page, you received about this information.

It is like crack, you will have to keep using it.

Just kidding. Spend the $500 pay the $500 off on the first statement and get whatever the payback amount may be. If it offers better payback % than whatever the other card you are paying the full balance off every month than switch cards.

It if is untapped credit it should help you in the long run with any type of debit to credit ratio.
