Eligibility

The contest (the "Contest") is open to legal residents of the United States and the District of Columbia, who are 18 years of age or older as of date of entry and have a valid e-mail address . Contest may be accessed by visiting facebook.com/klmusa. Employees of KLM, Air France, their affiliated and subsidiary companies, their joint-venture partners, their advertising and promotional agencies and the immediate family (spouse, mother, father, sister, brother, daughter or son, regardless of where they live) or members of the households of such employees (whether or not related) are not eligible. By entering, you agree to these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor, which are final and binding in all respects.

Contest Entry Period

Contest begins on August 7, 2012 at 12:00 a.m. (EST) Eastern Standard Time (EST), and ends on August 17, 2012 at 11:59:59 p.m. (EST). A day begins at 12:00:00 a.m. (EST) and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. (EST).

Entry

Entries must be received by August 17, 2012, no later than 11:59:59 p.m. (EST) and may only be submitted through facebook.com/klmusa. Any attempt to submit an entry through the Internet or through email shall be considered null and void. Limit one entry per person. Any attempt by any person to submit multiple entries by using multiple/different email accounts or identities, or any other methods will void all entry submissions and the person will be disqualified from the Contest. No responsibility is assumed for lost, late, incomplete, stolen, misdirected, or illegible entries or email; or for any computer, telephone, cable, network, electronic or Internet hardware or software malfunctions, failures, connections, availability or garbled or jumbled transmissions, service provider/Internet/web site/use net accessibility or availability, traffic congestion, any technical error, or unauthorized human intervention, or the incorrect or inaccurate capture of entry or other information, or the failure to capture any such information

Drawing

Grand Prize Winner will be selected in a random drawing from all eligible entries received. Drawing will take place on or about August 21, 2012 and Grand Prize Winner will be notified via email within approximately seven (7) days after the drawing. Grand Prize cannot be exchanged for cash or credit; assignment, transfer or substitution of Grand Prize is permitted, and Sponsor specifically reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value should Grand Prize, as stated, become unavailable. Grand Prize Winner consents to be contacted directly by the Sponsor. Sponsor is responsible for delivering Grand Prize to the Grand Prize Winner. Shipping fee is included in the value of the Grand Prize.

Grand Prize

There will be one (1) Grand Prize and one (1) Grand Prize Winner. The Grand Prize Winner will be awarded two (2) KLM round-trip Economy class tickets to Amsterdam, In addition the Grand Prize Winner and traveling companion will also each receive a "Holland Pass" booklet, which includes free entrance and discounts to museums, shops, restaurants and attractions in Amsterdam and select other cities in Holland.

Terms and Conditions of KLM Tickets Awarded

The Grand Prize Winner will be awarded two (2) KLM round-trip tickets (one for the Grand Prize Winner, one for his/her traveling companion) in Economy Class for travel to Amsterdam on a KLM-operated flight originating from one of KLM's gateways in New York, Washington, Houston (only valid on KL661/KL662), Dallas Fort/Worth (seasonal) Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago and Atlanta. Grand Prize is subject to availability at time of booking, is valid only in Economy Class cabin and may be upgraded to Economy Comfort subject to space availability for the dates of travel. Blackout periods may apply. Booking restrictions, along with other terms and conditions apply and due to capacity controlled seating, flexibility of travel dates may be necessary. Air travel arrangements must be made directly through KLM and Grand Prize Winner must provide a minimum of two weeks notice prior to their preferred travel dates. Once booked, travel arrangements may not be changed. The Grand Prize Winner and his/her traveling companion must have cities of the same origin and destination in their itinerary and must travel together at all times. The Grand Prize Winner and his/her traveling companion will be responsible for all expenses not specifically stated as part of the Grand Prize, including but not limited to, service charges, taxes, local transportation including air or ground transportation to/from the Grand Prize Winner's home to/from the airport, overnight accommodations prior to or following the travel dates in order to accommodate flight connections, income taxes, insurance, passport and visa costs, gratuities, select meals and beverages, incidentals and any items of a personal nature. Cancellation insurance is not part of the Grand Prize, but is recommended. Grand Prize Winner and his/her traveling companion are responsible for procuring adequate documentation required for European travel. Grand Prize must be accepted as awarded with no substitution. Grand Prize is non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash or credit, in whole or in part, for any destination. Once issued, tickets are non-refundable, non-reroutable, and non-endorsable and may not be applied against any frequent flyer account.

Approximate Retail value: $1,000 per ticket. The above fare is based on KLM roundtrip Economy Class fare from New York to Amsterdam. Fares may be higher depending upon the city of origin, the month of travel and class availability at time of booking. Any expenses not specified are the sole responsibility of the Grand Prize Winner. Travel and restrictions such as blackout dates will apply. Trip must be taken between September 1, 2012 and August 31, 2013 If Grand Prize Winner cannot take prize as stated, prize will be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible/correct entries received during the entry period.

General Conditions

Grand Prize Winner will be required to complete, execute and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, a liability release, and where lawful, publicity release within 10 days of notification. Failure to return documents timely, or if prize notification or prize is returned as non-deliverable, or if Grand Prize Winner is found to be ineligible or not in compliance with these Official Rules, disqualification will result and an alternate prize winner will be selected. Grand Prize Winner's travel companion, whose itinerary must mirror that of the Grand Prize Winner, must be at least 18 years of age and will be required to complete, execute and return a Liability Release, and where lawful, a publicity release prior to the issuance of travel documents. By accepting prize, where permitted by law, Grand Prize Winner grants to Sponsor (and agrees to confirm that grant in writing) the right to use and publish his/her name, portrait, picture, voice and likeness for advertising, trade and promotional purposes without additional consideration, worldwide and on the world wide web, without notification, review or approval. Entrants, by participating, release and agree to hold harmless Sponsor and its parents, affiliates, subsidiary companies, joint-venture partners, advertising and promotion agencies and their respective directors, officers, employees, representatives and agents from any and all liability for any injuries, loss or damage of any kind to person, including death, and property, arising in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, use or misuse of the prize, participation in any Contest- related activity, or participation in this Contest. Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or web site; to be acting in violation of the Official Rules; to be acting in violation of the terms of the web site, or to be acting in a non-sportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. Any use of robotic, automatic, programmed or like entry methods will void all such entries by such methods, and the disqualification of any entrant using any such methods. In the event of a dispute as to entries submitted by multiple users having the same email account, the authorized subscriber of the email account used to enter the Contest at the actual time of entry will be deemed to be the participant and must comply with these rules. Authorized account subscriber is deemed to be the natural person who is assigned an email address by an Internet service provider, on-line service provider or other organization which is responsible for assigning email addresses or the domain associated with the submitted email address.

Limitation of Liability

Sponsor is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by web site users, tampering, hacking or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Sweepstakes and assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction, or technical failure or unauthorized access to the web site. Sponsor is not responsible for injury or damage to participant or to any other person's computer related to or resulting from participating in this Contest or downloading or copying materials from or use of the web site. If, for any reason, the Contest is not capable of running as planned by reason, for example but not limited to, of infection by computer virus, bugs, worms, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes which, in the sole opinion of Sponsor, corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Contest, Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest and select the winner from entries received prior to the action taken, or as otherwise deemed fair and appropriate by Sponsor . Arbitration

Except where prohibited, entrants agree that (1) any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Contest, or any prize awarded, or the determination of the winner shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by arbitration pursuant to the Rules of the American Arbitration Association, then effective, and (2) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this Contest but in no event payment of attorneys´ fees; and (3) under no circumstances will entrant be permitted to obtain awards for and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim punitive, incidental and consequential damages and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of entrant and/or Sponsors, in connection with the Sweepstakes, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflicts of law doctrine.
