2012 OFFICIAL RULES


NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. PURCHASE DOES NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. VOID IN FLORIDA, RHODE ISLAND, ALASKA, HAWAII AND WHERE PROHIBITED. Subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations .


1. ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: Open to legal residents of the (48) contiguous United States (excluding Florida and Rhode Island) and the District of Columbia who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. The following are not eligible to enter or win a prize: employees, contractors, directors and officers of Dick Blick Company (the "Sponsor"), its parent, subsidiaries and affiliated companies, distributors, web design, advertising, fulfillment, legal, judging and sweepstakes agencies involved in the administration, development, fulfillment and execution of this Sweepstakes (collectively, "Sweepstakes Parties"), and the immediate family members of each (spouse, parent, child, sibling, grandparent, and spouse or "step" of each) and those living in their same households (those persons whether related or not who live in the same residence for at least three months during the twelve-month period preceding the start date of the Sweepstakes).

2. SWEEPSTAKES PERIOD: Sweepstakes begins on August 2, 2012 and ends on September 20, 2012 (the "Sweepstakes Period").


3. TO ENTER: There are two methods of entry: in-store and online.

In-store: visit a participating Blick Retail location and ask a sales associate or representative to enter you into the Car Sweepstakes. Blick representatives will also be on select campuses to take entries via a handheld device. A Blick Preferred Customer Card is required for entry into the Sweepstakes. If you don't have a Blick Preferred Customer Card, ask a Blick sales associate and they will complete an electronic application for you for a free Blick Preferred Customer Card and will enter you into the Sweepstakes. Entries will be deemed to have been made by the person associated with the scanned Blick Preferred Customer Card.

Online: visit www.blicksweeps.com (the "Web Site") during the Sweepstakes Period and follow on-screen directions to properly complete and submit an online registration form to be entered into the Sweepstakes. A valid email address is required.

Limit of one (1) entry per person per entry method throughout the Sweepstakes Period for a total of two (2) entries per person for the Sweepstakes. Entrants are not permitted to share an email address.

Online entries: automated means of entry are prohibited and any use of automated devices will cause disqualification. In the event of a dispute as to who submitted an entry, the name of the "authorized account holder" associated with the email address will be deemed to be the entrant and must comply with these Official Rules. The authorized account holder is defined as the natural person who is assigned to the email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization that is responsible for assigning email addresses or the domain associated with the submitted email address. Entrants may not enter with multiple email addresses nor may entrants use any other device or artifice to register multiple times or as multiple registrants. Any participant who attempts to enter with multiple email addresses or uses any device or artifice to enter multiple times will be disqualified and forfeits any and all prizes won, in Sponsor's sole discretion. Proof of submission is not proof of receipt by Sponsor.

By participating, entrants agree to these Official Rules and the Sponsor's decisions, which are final and binding in all respects. Information collected in connection with this Sweepstakes will be governed by Sponsor's Privacy Policy (available at http://www.dickblick.com/privacy/).

4. SWEEPSTAKES DRAWING AND ODDS OF WINNING: One (1) winner will be selected in a random drawing from all eligible entries received for the Sweepstakes. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. Drawing will be conducted on or about October 8, 2012, by a third party promotion administrator, whose decisions shall be final and binding on all matters relating to the Sweepstakes.


5. PRIZE AND APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUE ("ARV"):


One (1) Grand Prize: a 2012 iQ Scion; ARV: $15,995.

PRIZE RESTRICITONS: Any difference between the approximate value and the actual cost of the Grand Prize will not be awarded. Sponsor and Sweepstakes Parties do not make, nor in any manner are responsible or liable for, any warranty, representation or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to the vehicle including but not limited to its quality, fitness for purpose or mechanical condition. Vehicle will be delivered solely with the express limited warranties provided by the manufacturer. Winner must meet all eligibility requirements in these Official Rules, have proof of a valid driver's license and satisfactory proof of legally required insurance to take delivery of vehicle; failure to show both a valid driver's license and proof of legally required insurance may result in prize forfeiture and selection of an alternate winner. Winner will be responsible for all, title, license, registration fees and insurance required in claiming the vehicle, applicable taxes as well as all other expenses relating to the receipt and use of vehicle, including any travel and transportation costs associated with taking delivery of the vehicle, if applicable. All options and upgrades on vehicle are the sole responsibility of Grand Prize winner. All costs and expenses related to acceptance and use of the prize not specifically stated herein are the sole responsibility of the winner. Grand Prize winner is not eligible for any cash back, incentives or rebates which may be available on the vehicle at time of delivery. Prize is non-transferable and no cash redemption or prize substitution permitted, except at the sole discretion of the Sponsor. Sponsor reserves the right in their sole discretion to substitute a prize with one of comparable or greater value. Winner is solely responsible for any taxes on the prize, and an IRS Form 1099 will be issued reporting the value of the prize to the IRS.

Vehicle awarded may differ from any vehicle shown in promotional materials. iQ and Scion are registered trademarks of Toyota Motor Corporation. Toyota Motor Corporation is not affiliated, associated or otherwise connected with this Sweepstakes.

6. WINNER NOTIFICATION AND PRIZE CLAIM: Winner is subject to verification, including verification of age and school enrollment. Potential Grand Prize winner will be contacted via a traceable method of mail sent to the address provided during registration. Winner may also be contacted via e-mail and/or phone and will be required to confirm/provide address information. If any winner does not respond to a phone or email notification within ten (10) calendar days of first phone or email notification attempt, prize may be forfeited and an alternate winner may be contacted. Potential Grand Prize winner will be required to complete, sign, and return an Affidavit of Eligibility/Liability Release, and, where lawful, a Publicity Release (granting the use of the winner's name, city/state, likeness, or photograph by Sponsor for advertising/publicity purposes, without further compensation) within ten (10) calendar days of attempted mail notification or prize may be forfeited and an alternate winner may be contacted. If a winner is an eligible minor in his/her state of residence (18 in NE or AL), the prize will be awarded to the eligible minor's parent or legal guardian, who must sign and complete the Affidavit of Eligibility/Liability Release, and, where lawful the Publicity Release on the minor's behalf. Sponsor is not responsible for any change of mailing address, email address and/or telephone number of entrants. In the event of non-compliance with these Official Rules, or if a prize notification or prize is unclaimed or returned as undeliverable, the prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner may be contacted. Prize may not be awarded if the prize is not properly claimed. Upon verification, winner will be notified about prize delivery logistics at a time to be determined by Sponsor.

7. GENERAL CONDITIONS: INTERNET CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS SWEEPSTAKES IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS, AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH INDIVIDUAL TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW INCLUDING CRIMINAL PROSECUTION. If, for any reason, the Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned for any reason, including without limitation, due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Sweepstakes, Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who is responsible or who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, modify or terminate the Sweepstakes. In the event of cancellation, Sponsor will award the prize in a random manner to be determined by Sponsor. In the event that an entry is confirmed to have been erroneously deleted, lost or destroyed, entrant's sole remedy shall be another entry into the Sweepstakes. This Sweepstakes is offered only in the United States and is governed by the laws of the state of Illinois, and entrant consents to jurisdiction and venue in, and agrees that all claims and disputes must be resolved in, the federal or state courts in Cook County, Illinois.


8. LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY AND RELEASE: No liability or responsibility is assumed by Sponsor or Sweepstakes Parties resulting from user's participation in, or attempt to participate in the Sweepstakes. No responsibility or liability is assumed by the Sponsor or Sweepstakes Parties for technical problems or technical malfunction with respect to the processing of Blick Preferred Customer Discount Card entries or the operation of the Web Site, including data loss and/or corruption, faulty computer, telephone, cable, satellite, network, electronic, wireless or Internet connectivity or other online communication problems; errors or limitations of any Internet service providers, servers, hosts or providers; garbled, jumbled or faulty data transmissions; failure of any email transmissions to be sent to or received; lost, late, delayed or intercepted email transmissions; inaccessibility of the Web Site in whole or in part for any reason; traffic congestion on the Internet or Web Site; unauthorized human or non-human intervention in the operation of the Sweepstakes, including without limitation, unauthorized tampering, hacking, theft, virus, bug, worm. Sponsor and Sweepstakes Parties are also not responsible for incomplete or incorrect Blick Preferred Customer Discount Card records, including any failure by an entrant to update his or her contact information on file with the retailer. Sponsor is not responsible for any typographical errors in the announcement of prize or these Official Rules. Sponsor and the Sweepstakes Parties are not responsible for any personal injury or property damage or losses of any kind that may be sustained to user's resulting from participation in the Sweepstakes. By participating in the Sweepstakes, the entrant thereby releases Sponsor and the Sweepstakes Parties from any and all claims, damages or liabilities arising from or relating to such entrant's participation in the Sweepstakes. As a condition of entering, entrants (or their parent or legal guardian if an eligible minor) agree (and agree to confirm in writing): (a) to release Sponsor and Sweepstakes Parties from any and all liability, loss or damage incurred with respect to the awarding, receipt, possession, and/or use or misuse of any prize, including any traveling related thereto; (b) under no circumstances will entrant be permitted to obtain awards for, and participant hereby waives all rights to claim, punitive, incidental, consequential, or any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses; (c) all causes of action arising out of or connected with this Sweepstakes, or any prize awarded, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action; and (d) any and all claims, judgments, and award shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, excluding attorneys' fees and court costs.

9. PUBLICITY: Except where prohibited by law, by accepting a prize, winner (or winner's parent/legal guardian, if winner is a minor) grants permission for Sponsor and those acting under its authority to use his/her name, and address (city and state), photograph, voice and/or likeness, for advertising and/or publicity purposes, in any and all media (including posting on Web Site) now known or hereinafter invented without territorial or time limitations and without further notice to and without additional compensation. If you are selected as a winner, your information will also be included in a publicly-available winners list
