[B]Hey guys, OK. So I tracked down another manager and asked him everything about the yellow tag sale. Here is what he told me.
1) There IS a yellow tag sale. it IS national. It is unadvertised. It happens several times a year.
3) Employees do NOT know when it will happen. Regular employees will likely not know much about it if they do at all. Local TJ Maxx store MANAGERS get instructions handed down to them by corporate the DAY BEFORE to put yellow tags on everything.
4) It is a SEASONAL discount and YMMV on your TJ Maxx. So when a TJ Maxx store gets the instructiion to put yellow tags on, it is because they are getting new season items in. BUT different TJ Maxx's get new season items in at different times. For some, it is right now, for others it may not be until the end of August or even beginning of September. So it is YMMV.

edit - i just googled some information. The yellow tag sale is done twice a year, at the end of summer season and winter season. and apparently done at Marshall's too.
