Sweepstakes begins at 12:01 a.m. Central time (“CT”) on August 16, 2012, and ends at 11:59 p.m. CT on September 21, 2012.

Open to individuals legally residing in the fifty (50) United States, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry; provided, however, that entry cannot be made from a computer, mechanical device, or electronic device at a place of business in the State of Georgia.

One (1) Grand Prize Winner will receive an electronic gift certificate in the amount of five thousand dollars ($5,000), issued from American Airlines or one of its affiliates for use only toward American Airlines vacation packages.

The Certificate is valid for bookings with flight departure from any U.S., Puerto Rico or U.S. Virgin Islands airport served by American Airlines or its “Airline Associates” (American Eagle, Executive Airlines or the AmericanConnection® carrier) to the American Airlines® vacation destination of Winner’s choice, the car portion of the American Airlines® vacation package and/or the hotel portion of the package. American Airlines® vacation package bookings require a minimum of flight + hotel or hotel + car purchased together. Retail value is $5,000. Winner is responsible for the full cost of transportation to and from their departure and arrival airport. Winner is responsible for any and all applicable fees, service charges, surcharges or passenger facility charges and all insurance costs, federal, state, local and foreign taxes, if any, gratuities, meals, incidentals and any other unspecified expenses associated with acceptance or use of the Prize. Some of these taxes, fees and other amounts may be due upon booking/ticketing the American Airlines® vacation package. Sponsor is not liable for any expense incurred as a consequence of a flight cancellation or flight delay. Travel is subject to availability and certain other restrictions, which are subject to change in the sole discretion of Sponsor. Flight schedules subject to change without notice. Certificate is not redeemable for cash. Certificate may not be transferred, purchased, sold or bartered. Only original Certificates will be honored. Certificate is void if reproduced, altered, counterfeited, obtained or used improperly. Lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed Certificates will not be replaced by American Airlines. The Certificate is not returnable or redeemable for cash, except where required by law. If the total package price exceeds the value of the Certificate, any balance may be paid by credit, debit, charge card or other payment options. The Certificate value may be used toward multiple trips until the value is depleted. The Certificate has no implied warranties and is not a credit or debit card. The Certificate will expire one year after issuance. Certificate is available for use within 24 hours after receipt. The Certificate is not available for redemption online. The Winner must call 1-800-321-2121 to redeem the Certificate.
