Good reviews on Amazon. I wish it indicated which drink mixes it comes with.

Not sure if it's still available, but I had added the VIBE Axcess 4-Port USB 2.0 Breakout Hub for $2.99 + FREE Shipping, and added a similar $5 off code (from retailmenot) for a total of $47.98

FYI, it appears the 20oz co2 tank included with these units is a completely standard paintball tank that can be refilled anywhere that refills paintball tanks generally (dicks charges about $4) -- this seems to be a big saving over sodastream (proprietary connector requires a $50+ adapter)

Damn I'm so pissed that I missed out on this. I've been looking for an alternative to SodaStream, which I understand is horrible for replacing co2 cartridges. I don't want to have to try to hack something myself, and I'm not into paying ridiculous upcharges for putting co2 in the proprietary canisters.

But from all I read last night on it, all signs point to these flavorstation "sparklers" can be refilled pretty much anywhere you get co2.

I'm not 100 percent sure, but I think sams club may sell the coca cola syrup they use in those big ass soda machines at mcdonalds and anywhere they have big ass soda machines. Now I'm scouring the web looking for the best deal. Even considered a syphon that carbonates things for you, but this looks like more fun. If anyone happens across another good deal on this, plz let me know. I won't be falling asleep on the next deal.

I fell asleep without making the purchase, and today it was sold out on me. I really don't want to pay 70-80 bucks for something I could've got yesterday for 50. So maybe I need to play the waiting game for a bit and see what happens.

You know, I was really close to buying 2, thinking I would either give one as a Christmas gift or sell it. I only ended up buying the one, because I wasn't sure how much luck I'd have selling it without losing money considering eBay charges so much in fees. Now I wish I would have bought the second one, because I would have let you buy it. Sorry Frown Hopefully another deal will come up soon.

Primo Flavorstations use a CO2 cylinder (called the Primo Sparkler) to carbonate beverages. As instructed, a Primo Sparkler will supply carbonation to the water in your Primo Sport Bottle. When your Primo Sparkler is empty, you have two options to refill your cylinder 1) order a replacement cylinder online, or 2) visit a local participating retailer. Additionally, you may purchase spare Primo Sparklers so you always have carbonation ready to make sparkling water or other great tasting beverages.

When ordering Primo Sparkler from our online store, you must order minimum of two. Please use our simple calculator to place your Primo Sparkler order. Alternatively, our Primo Sparklers are available at leading retailers nationwide which will help you save on shipping charges.

I dont believe there is any difference in the business models of SODASTREAM or FLAVORSTATION.

my wife and I are currently in the process or ordering the SODAMOD from http://www.criticalpaintball.com/ which allows you to use a paintball CO2 Bottle with the Sodastream machine. paying their $15 every time we need new carbonation is insane when we can refill a paintball tank for $3-$4.

I just found this and thought i should add to the thread for anyone thinking of buying a Flavorstation...

A SodaStream Rival Bites the Dust

SodaStream (Nasdaq: SODA ) was probably never worried about the competitive threat posed by Primo Water's (Nasdaq: PRMW ) Flavorstation, but there's less of a reason to worry about the fledgling soda maker now.

Primo Water is all but giving up on the device some SodaStream skeptics figured would challenge SodaStream's platform for home-brewed-pop superiority.

Conceding that "the Flavorstation business is progressing at a slower rate than we expected," Primo Water is repositioning itself to focus on its flagship water and dispenser businesses. The company's writing down its investment in the acquisition that birthed Flavorstation.
