Contest starts at 12:00:01 AM Central time on September 1, 2012, and ends at 11:59:59 pm Central time on May 31, 2013 ("Contest Period"). One (1) winner per month will be selected for a total of nine (9) winners during the Contest Period.
Contest only open to all legal residents of the 50 United States and District of Columbia 18 years of age or older at time of entry.
HOW TO ENTER: You may enter online by visiting http://www.rumbameats. com/recipeofthemont h and click on the Recipe of the Month tab to access the contest registration page.
Follow all instructions on the page and complete an entry form by providing correct information in all required fields and following the instructions to submit an original recipe meeting the criteria set forth below in the Section 4 "Judging Criteria."

Limit: each entrant may submit only one (1) Contest Entry during the Contest Period, per person/valid-email address. Each person may only use one (1) e-mail address to participate in this Contest, and such e-mail address may only be used by one person regardless of whether the e-mail address is shared by two or more people.
PRIZE: Prize[s]: One $500 Visa giftcard will be awarded per month to one winner. A total of nine (9) $500 Visa gift cards will be awarded to nine (9) different winners throughout the Contest Period. Total value of all prizes is $4500.
JUDGING CRITERIA: Each recipe entered must call for a Rumba® meats product . Each entry must include complete directions for preparation, including mixing and cooking time, size of pan where applicable and number of servings. Each recipe must list exact ingredients in standard U.S. measurements and preferably, in their order of use. A photograph of the finished dish may be included with an entry but is not a requirement, and will not be a part of the judging criteria. All entries will be judged by a panel consisting of qualified judges and supervised by an experienced culinary professional. Judging will be based on creativity (25%), clearness and completeness of cooking directions (25%) and perceived taste of finished product (50%). In the event an entry does not win in a given month, it will be retained and considered for a subsequent month's selection. Decision of judges is final and binding.
