In May of 2011, Neil Young performed an intimate two-night stand at Massey Hall in Toronto to close out his solo world tour.
During the idyllic drive from his hometown of Omemee, Ontario to Toronto, he shared stories of his early life with filmmaker Jonathan Demme, who intercut that interview footage with performances from those two nights to create the acclaimed documentary 'Neil Young Journeys.'
Demme used his unprecedented access to the normally elusive musician to create an unusually intimate look at Young, weaving together stories from his youth with live versions of classics like 'Ohio,' 'Hey Hey, My My' and 'I Believe in You,' as well as songs from the 2010 album 'Le Noise.' Young also performs two previously unreleased songs, 'Leia' and 'You Never Call.'
