Nobody said it would be easy. shake head Seriously, though, the only common thread seems to be the glue taste. I'd probably try to find something else if I were looking for a filtration system.

Don't know about the 1 day deal but the distiller is great. it is the best water you can get. No bottles to carry and recycle and it tastes better, I paid a lot more for mine and would again. The last 1 I had was an old Sears model that lasted 20 years.
