SEE WIKI POST for answers to questions....it's the post right below this one:

http://club.live.com

--------------------------------------

Getting Started
In order to earn tickets via Live Search Club you must have a Windows Live ID account and a Live Search Club Handle. Follow these simple steps to get started:

Click on My Club Account from the left hand menu.
Click on Sign In.
If you do not have a Windows Live ID Account, click the Sign Up Now button, and follow the steps accordingly. Otherwise, enter your E-mail address and Password and click the Sign In button.
Create a "Handle" for your Live Search Club account - your "Handle" will be displayed whenever you are signed in to the Live Search Club and can't be changed once you leave this page.
Choose an "Avatar" - the "Avatar" will also be displayed when you are signed into the Live Search Club.
Read the Live Search Club Terms and Conditions and select "I Accept" if you agree to the terms and conditions.
Click the Submit button to complete your account set-up.
You are now set-up and can begin playing games and earning tickets to redeem towards free prizes!

Windows Live ID
A Windows Live ID is free and allows you to sign in on any site that displays Microsoft Passport Network or Windows Live ID. For more information and to create an account, go to: http://get.live.com/getlive/overview

If you already have a Windows Live ID but have forgotten your password, go to the Windows Live ID sign in screen at: http://login.live.com and click on the Forgot your password? link.

The Games
To learn how to play a game, select the Rules button on the main page of the selected game and a pop-up window will display detailed instructions on how to play the game.

You don't have to be signed in to play a game, but you must be signed in to earn tickets and redeem prizes.

Earning Tickets and Rewards
Tickets are earned through playing games. Each time you play a game you will earn tickets. If signed in, tickets will be deposited in your account when you finish playing a game. If you are not signed in, tickets will accumulate as you complete a game. However, if you don't sign in prior to leaving the browser session, you will lose the tickets you earned.

Rewards will display the number of tickets required to redeem the given prize and will provide a Get It! button, if you have enough tickets to redeem the prize each prize is assigned a ticket value. Or it will provide a Play Games! button if you do not have enough tickets.

Questions regarding your prize order?
After you placed your order, you should have received a confirmation number, a follow-up confirmation email, and points should have been deducted from your account.

If you did not receive a confirmation number and points were not deducted from your account, then your order was not placed. Place your order again. Be sure you are signed in when placing your order.

Turn off the sound before playing these games. Save yourself a headache.

All games must be played in Internet Explorer to credit.

Frequently Asked Questions:

1. How long does it take to receive an order confirmation?

When you place an order you receive a confirmation number immediately. Write it down! Make sure your personal information is correct when you place an order. You will be sent an email usually within a day.

However, there has been reports that some people have not received their confirmation email immediately. There is no set pattern in why some get sent and some do not.

If you do not get a confirmation e-mail that doesn't mean you won't get your prize. If it shows in your redemption history you will be fine.

2. Where does the confirmation email come from so I don't accidently delete it?

From: Live Search Club (email: [email protected] )
Subject: Live Search Club - Confirmation

3. Where does the shipment email come from so I don't accidently delete it?

From: Points Customer Support (email: [email protected] )
Subject: Live Search Club - Your order has shipped!

If you do not get a shipping e-mail that doesn't mean you won't get your prize. Some people have reported getting prizes without receiving the shipping e-mail at all (or receiving the e-mail after they actually recieved the prize..

4. What if I don't get a shipment email after 8 weeks have passed?

Contact support with your confirmation number via the email or phone numbers in question 6.

5. How long does it take to receive some of the prizes?

All prizes, even song downloads, take generally 6 to 8 weeks for delivery. An estimated delivery date is included in the confirmation email. It may take longer to ship if the item is backordered. Terms & conditions now state up to 10 weeks for delivery.

6. What do I do if I have issues or questions that aren't answered here?

For all prize related and prize redemption issue, please send your concern to [email protected]

Not sure if it will help, but contact info for IncentiveLogic http://www.incentivelogic.com/com...tactus.php 1-888-558-4483. They also have a live help during business hours.

(Thank you guest2 for providing the information above.)

7. How often are the puzzles updated?

We don't know, but they seem to be doing it more often. Check in every few days.

8. How often are the prizes updated?

They do change so check in weekly or monthly. If it's a popular prize like an XBox or a Zune they are more likely to keep it around. Those are signature MS items.

9. I saw someone on the site with a lot of points but they've only played a small number of games! How is this possible?

Like you, we can only speculate. One theory is that the number of games played starts over everytime the user redeems a prize, so what you're seeing is a lifetime ticket amount earned by that user.

10. Where can I find help with game answers?

Seekadoo help: http://files.filefront.com//;7819657;;/ - use WinRAR to unpack NOT winzip

Flexicon help: http://www.thewordfinder.com/crossword.php or http://files.filefront.com//;7942817;;/

Chictionary help: http://www.thewordfinder.com/scrabble.php or www.anagrammer.com

Clink help: http://www.onlineslangdictionary.com/browse/a
http://answers.yahoo.com/question...256AAy3W28

General Help with Games:

http://answers.yahoo.com/ All you have to do is ask! There is an entire section dedicated to word play!

11. What are the point values for each game?

- Chicktionary is 20 tickets per game. Get 89% and you get 17 tickets.
- Flexicon is 25 tickets per game.
- Clink is 10 tickets per game and up to 8 tickets for an incomplete game.
- Red Carpet allows 10 tickets per game and 1 ticket per question.

What are captchas?
Captchas are systems that have been added to various games to prevent some forms of cheating. These apparently appear when suspicious behavior occurs on the account, such as answering multiple questions in a very short period of time. If this occurs, the player must retype a randomly generated alphanumeric code to continue the game.

7/13 Edit: If your account has been zeroed out, you will not get your prizes. Word from MS:
"Thank you for contacting us with regard to your recent activity with Microsoft Live Search Club

Any promotion of this type comes with these risks, which we anticipated and have been actively watching for. We're committed to providing a positive experience for the millions of users that are enjoying the games. We regularly review game play and have a set of criteria by which invalid activity is easily identified. When find this type of behavior, we cancel any prize orders or ticket accruals made by that account, based on the Microsoft Terms and Conditions.

Sincerely,

Live Search Club Order Support

Hey, OP! Already repped you for your post, but wanted to offer another thank-you here, along w/ some happy info. for you and others...

I signed up at the site after reading your post YESTERDAY. I played several games yesterday and today and already won enough tickets for the free movie pass (general admission for 2 adults)! I just redeemed my tickets for the prize and got a confirmation screen and an email saying that they will ship it to me in 6-8 weeks!! Yay!

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! hug

(And just FYI, I found that the game, "Flexicon," worked best for me--you get 25 tickets at the end of each game)!!

Disclaimer: I did spend a LOT of time game-playing yesterday and today, which is not something I would recommend to the general population. shake head However, I decided that I would succumb to my gaming addiction for just 2 days (after a long time of abstaining), win what I wanted, and never visit that site again. I saw the following SD post (by "guest2") about a week ago, regarding playing free online games to earn prizes:

https://slickdeals.net/forums/showthread.php?sduid=135672&t=525451&highlight=live+search

I just wanted to share more specific information here (about one prize), for the many people who are viewing various SD threads to find free (or discount) movie tickets...

The above site offers different free games (mostly word games, crossword puzzles, maybe some trivia). For example, one of the crossword-puzzle games is called "Flexicon," and after solving one of its puzzles you earn 25 tickets. When you get up to 2,250 tickets, you can redeem them for a free movie pass for general admission for 2 adults! (Please note: They do NOT have you enter your tickets into a drawing or raffle or anything like that. You simply trade in your tickets for your selected prize).

In my case, I saw the above link from guest2's post on 5/27/07. After just 2 days of doing (quite a few) crossword puzzles, I was able to order my free-movie-pass-for-2-adults, and I already received the prize in the mail today (6/2/07). That's less than a week from when I found the gaming site!

So for anyone else who's looking for a fun and relatively quick/easy way to get free movie tickets, you might want to look into this, too. FYI, now that I've received my movie pass, I can tell you that it's from: http://www.utix.com/

You might want to first look at the Utix site and see if you have local movie theaters that will accept your free movie pass. (There are several in my area). Basically, they send you a one-time-use credit-card thing, and you can swipe it at the movie kiosk for up to 2 adult general admission tickets. (Then I think you have to turn your card in at the ticket counter or something). It says there are no restrictions or blackout days; you just can't use it for IMAX or premium seating. Finally, just FYI, the credit-card-thing that I got in the mail today (6/2/07) only expires on 12/31/07.
