offered only to legal residents of the 48 contiguous United States and the District of Columbia, who are licensed drivers and at least 18 years of age or older at the time of entry.
begins on October 15, 2012 at 12:00 A.M. Pacific Time ("PT") and ends on December 7, 2012 at 11:59:59 P.M. PT.
CONTEST PHASES: The Contest consists of the following phases:
i. ENTRY PHASE: The "Entry Phase" starts on October 15 at 12:00 A.M. PT and ends on November 22, 2012 at 11:59:59 P.M. PT. During the Entry Phase, eligible Contestants may submit an entry by following the instructions set forth in Section 3 of these Official Rules.
ii. VOTING PHASE: The "Voting Phase" starts on October 15, 2012 at 12:00 A.M. PT and ends on December 7, 2012 at 11:59:59 P.M. PT. During the Voting Phase, eligible Voters may vote for their favorite video submission by following the instructions set forth in Section 7.
iii. JUDGING AND GRAND PRIZE WINNER SELECTION PHASE: The "Judging and Grand Prize Winner Selection Phase" starts on December 8, 2012 at 12:00 A.M. PT and ends on or about December 16, 2012. The Grand Prize Winners will be announced on or about December 17, 2012.
B. SWEEPSTAKES: The Sweepstakes starts on October 15, 2012 at 12:00 A.M. PT and ends on December 7, 2012 at 11:59:59 P.M. PT which is the same time period as the Voting Phase.
. The Contestant will also be required to submit a video (the "Video") describing the ultimate road trip within a contiguous forty-eight (48) United States that he/she would take if he/she won the Grand Prize.
Limit one (1) approved Entry per person/e-mail address.
The Contestants' Videos that receive the ten (10) most votes will be deemed a "Finalist" pending verification of eligibility
Limit one (1) vote per calendar day. Limit one (1) entry into the Sweepstakes per calendar day.
Each Entry must comply with the Video Guidelines and Content Restrictions outlined in Section 4. The Judges will judge each Entry according to the following criteria: (1) creativity – 33.3%, (2) originality – 33.3%, and (3) sense of adventure – 33.4% (the "Judges Score").
Grand Prize (3): Each Grand Prize Winner will receive $5,800 awarded in the form of a check made payable to the Grand Prize Winner. The check will be from Sponsor or its designated prize supplier and will be sent to the Grand Prize Winner's residence after the approval of the trip itinerary (see Section A.viii). Each Grand Prize Winner will also receive a Samsung Galaxy® Tablet pre-loaded with applications, a set of four Yokohama YK580 Tires for the road trip vehicle, a Sony Bloggie Sport Camera/Camcorder, and a prepaid Verizon® Jetpack 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot MiFi 4501L. If a Grand Prize Winner submits five (5) viable blog posts via e-mail to [email protected] during his/her ultimate road trip, he/she will receive an additional prize of $1,000. The $1,000 bonus will also be awarded in the form of a check within approximately 14 business days following the verification of viability (defined below) of the fifth blog post.
Sweepstakes Prize (3): Each Sweepstakes Prize Winner will receive a set of four Yokohama YK580 Tires for the road trip vehicle. The ARV of each Sweepstakes Prize is $824. The total ARV of all Sweepstakes Prizes is $2,472. Limit one (1) Sweepstakes Prize per household.
