People on eBay selling Spotify Premium for ~$15 a year... legit?

Hey guys.

so I noticed people are listing spotify premium subscriptions on ebay like this:

but that is nearly 90% off. Seems too good to be true, and the fact that the account is "renewed" every month makes me feel like they might just be buying people 1 month accounts/free trials, and then failing to renew after 30 days essentially screwing them over...

What do you guys think?

THIS IS THEFT

This was done using bots that let people try tons of numbers until they found one that worked. Once they had numbers to use, they would enter your info into the Telia website along with the phone number of some legit customer. That legit customer was now paying for your subscription to Spotify.

Yeah, just got the notice on Spotify that my subscription with one of their partners has ended. Given I paid the price I would have been paying anyway over two months, I'm not that ticked. Just sucks that now I'll have to pay my normal $60 for a year of music vs. $10 Sadwalk

Either that, or I might see whether or not the ads are tolerable. I'm guessing not.

Same here. I want to be ticked off but I paid $12.00 so that's less than what I would of paid for a month and a half.

If you buy on ebay or use these guys asking for PMs you WILL GET YOUR ACCOUNT DISABLED after a few weeks.

These people are using european mobile numbers that are eligible for a free/discounted year, but Spotify will soon see you are not registered as Norwegian(etc). It is fraud.


I only found out the trick after buying one of these yearly memberships on ebay. It was peachy for a few weeks, but then Spotify disabled my account without notice. Even if you let customer service know you have been scammed, they will not restore your account. You will make a new account and hope the service rep is nice enough to copy your old playlists to your new account.

DON'T DO IT, Spotify is onto these scam artists, and you will not be happy.

yes works for now.....if i get a whole year out of it though, ill be shocked.

ok I guessed a number and it is asking for password during login now. assuming i have a working number, how can i get the password, or send text and recieve the activation link. i am in USA, not sure how to send text with words JOIN to a number in sweden using my assumed number.

its dead, it used to not ask you for a password. now it makes you login into your mobile account.
