According to your logic, we're going to have to wait 30 years for the full effects of Obama's policies to be known.

Maybe the economy contracts because the economy still sucks...becuase, despite all the platitudes the President has talked about for over 4 years, nothing has been done to help business improve.

Inflation today, if measured in 1990 would be over 5.5%
Inflation today, if measure in 1980 would be near 10%
And we all know the real unemployment rate is well north of 15%
Add that to the bogus fiscal cliff bickering and now tax hikes, rising gas prices = disastrous slow growth = added debt.

Wage rates were plummeting due to job losses prior to Obama taking office.

But of course you want to ignore the effects of the Bush recession.....

And think 'if only they had cut spending we could have had a Reagan boom.....'

Problem is, Reagan didn't cut spending; he dramatically increased it and created record (at the time) deficits.
