Idaho Winter Sweepstakes ("Sweepstakes") is offered and open only to legal residents of the United States, including the District of Columbia, as well as the provinces of British Columbia, Alberta, and Saskatchewan, who are 18 years or older as of 10/1/2012. Employees, officers and directors of the Idaho Department of Commerce, Division of Tourism Development ("Sponsor") and their respective parent organizations, affiliates, associations, subsidiaries, prize suppliers, advertising and promotion agencies, and the immediate family members (defined as current spouse as well as siblings, children and parents and their respective spouses; regardless of where they live) or members of the same households (whether related or not) of such employees/officers/directors are not eligible. Void in Puerto Rico and where prohibited by law. Participation constitutes entrant's full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Official Rules. Must have a valid, active email address and Facebook account to enter.
Promotional offers are supplied by various suppliers. Sponsor is not responsible for providing, guaranteeing or making final travel arrangements for winners. Winners will be selected at random and will be notified within two (2) business days of selection. See the following terms and conditions for additional restrictions.
BY SUBMITTING AN ENTRY, ENTRANT ACKNOWLEDGES THAT HIS/HER ENTRY, IF SELECTED AS A WINNER, WILL BE POSTED ON SPONSOR'S WEBSITE. Prize winners will be posted on www.idahowinter.org and the VisitIdaho and Ski Idaho Facebook pages.
HOW TO ENTER: Starting October 1, 2012 at 12:00:00 am Mountain Time (MT) and running each subsequent week until 11:59:59 pm MT on March 28, 2013, a qualified participant may go to www.idahowinter.org to complete and submit an online official entry form, with their complete name, email address, and other info as requested. Participants must complete the entire entry form, including all required information, in the appropriate fields. Participants are allowed to enter via multiple methods per weekly time period using Facebook and email. Limit one entry per person, per method for each weekly time period. Any person who attempts to participate above the allowed number of entries per weekly time period, under multiple identities or uses any device or artifice to enter multiple times, will be disqualified. In case of dispute, online entry will be declared made by the authorized account holder of the method submitted at the time of entry. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution etc.) that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address. No responsibility is assumed by Sponsors for lost, late, damaged, incomplete, stolen, misdirected, illegible entries/email; or for any computer, telephone, satellite, cable, network, electronic or Internet hardware or software malfunctions/failures; or for garbled, jumbled or corrupt transmissions; or for other technical errors of any kind. By participating in this Sweepstakes, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor. All entries become the property of the Sponsor and will not be acknowledge or returned. All online entries must be received by 11:59:59 pm Mountain Time (MT) on March 28, 2013.
CONTEST TIMING: A new prize offer will be awarded every Friday starting October 5, 2012 through March 29, 2013. The first promotional contest period beings on October 1, 2012 at 12:00:00 am Mountain Time (MT) and ends at 11:59:59 pm on October 4, 2012. On October 5, 2012 at 12:00:00 am Mountain Time (MT), a new, unique seven-day promotional period will begin with a new offer. This same seven-day promotional schedule will operate uninterrupted through March 29, 2013. Sponsor's computer is the official time-keeping device for the weekly time periods.
WINNER SELECTION: Winners will be selected in a random drawing from among all eligible entries received. The drawing will be conducted by a random computer-based selection process on a weekly basis. By participating, entrant agrees to these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding in all respects. Winners will be notified by email or direct-message via Facebook (at Sponsor's sole discretion) within two business days of selection. If after a period of 10 business days, the initial winner has not confirmed, accepted or otherwise answered Sponsor's correspondence regarding the prize offer, an alternate winner will be selected by the same random drawing process from among all other eligible entries received during the promotional period. No substitution or transfer of prize is permitted, but Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to substitute advertised prize with another prize of equal value should advertised prize become unavailable for any reason. Sponsor is not responsible for providing, guaranteeing or making the final arrangements with the private suppliers. Limit one prize per family/entry method/household during entire promotional time period. If an eligible Canadian resident from British Columbia, Alberta, and Saskatchewan wins a prize offer, they will be required to answer, unaided, a mathematical skill-testing question. The question will be administered by mail or telephone in a time-limited fashion. If a potential winner from British Columbia, Alberta, or Saskatchewan cannot be contacted and the skill test administered within three (3) business days of notification, or the question is not correctly answered, the prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner will be selected from among all other eligible entries received during the promotional period.
PRIZES/ODDS: There are 25 consecutive weeks of prize packages as part of this Sweepstakes, with one prize package offered per week. Odds of winning are dependent upon the total number of eligible entries received per time period. Approximate retail value of each prize is $600.
GENERAL CONDITIONS: All applicable federal, state and local taxes on prizes, including sales tax, and all expenses not specified herein associated with claiming/use/acceptance prize is the sole responsibility of the winner. Prize winners and guests may be required to sign additional documentation from the Sponsor and/or to provide the Sponsor with written authorization from a licensed physician as a pre-condition of accepting prize. In the event of noncompliance with these requirements (as applicable), or if prize notification is returned as undeliverable, such prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner selected from all remaining eligible entries received for drawing. By participating, entrant releases and agrees to hold harmless the Idaho Department of Commerce, Division of Tourism Development and their respective parent organizations, affiliates, associations, subsidiaries, prize suppliers, advertising and promotion agencies and their respective directors, officers, employees, representatives and agents from any and all liability for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind to persons and/or property arising from acceptance, possession, use/misuse of any prize or participation in this Sweepstakes. By accepting prize, where legal, winner grants to Sponsor the right to use the winner's name, picture, voice, likeness and biographical information for advertising/promotional/trade purposes, and any and all rights to such use, without additional consideration.
LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY: Sponsor assumes no responsibility for any incorrect or inaccurate information, error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction, whether caused by website users, tampering, hacking, unauthorized access or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Sweepstakes, including any error that may results in an erroneous appearance of qualification for a prize offer. Sponsor is not responsible for any problem or technical malfunction of any computer equipment or software that results in loss of entry. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DAMAGE ANY ONLINE SERVICE OR WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES VIOLATES CRIMINAL OR CIVIL LAWS. IF SUCH AN ATTEMPT IS MADE, SPONSOR MAY DISQUALIFY ANY PARTICIPANT MAKING SUCH ATTEMPT AND SEEK DAMAGES TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW. Any use of robotic, automatic, repetitive, macro, programmed or like online entry methods is specifically prohibited and will void all such entries by such methods, and result in disqualification of any entrant using such methods. Sponsor is not responsible for injury or damage to participants' or to any other person's computer related to or resulting from participating in this Sweepstakes or downloading materials from or use of the web site. If, for any reason, the online component of the Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned by reason of, but not limited to, infection by computer virus, worms, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes which Sponsor, in its sole opinion, deems could corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the online component of this Sweepstakes, Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, modify or suspend the online component of the Sweepstakes and select the winners in a drawing from all eligible online entries received prior to and/or after (as appropriate) the action taken by Sponsor. In such event, notice will be posted at www.idahowinter.org.
