While United Airlines recently honored some $10 tickets offered by mistake on its site, a retailer does not have to honor an error, especially if it is the result of hacking.

Well I finally got confirmation emails for both of the orders I made, so we'll see. I won't blame them if they cancel them though, its their right after all, and we knew those prices were mistakes.

I don't think this was a result of hacking but then honoring those big ticket electronics are going to cost them a lot, I wouldn't hold my breath but it'll be something if it's honored

read that this morning. doesn't imply anything about honoring the mistake. unless the item is in your hands, nothing is for certain.

I wouldn't expect them to honor the price mistakes. Face it, it's a massive mistake and was absolutely NOT a bait & switch tactic - I think we can all agree on this. If I was Walmart, I'd consider offering these customers perhaps an opportunity to take $10 off of the real prices but even that is them offering an olive branch at this point.

I know, we all love deals but sometimes we just have to curb our expectations when there's a massive "oh crap" mistake that's been made and this is clearly one of those times.

They canceled my order. Lied to me in an email that it was because the store had no stock, as I was in the store and had spoken to an employee who checked the inventory literally a minute before I got the email. Apparently its corporate policy to lie in order to cover up mistakes.
