Balance Bar “Outlast the Day, Own the Dark” Promotion ~ 6/14/13

Promotion begins at 10:00 A.M. Eastern Time ("ET") on April 15, 2013, and ends at 5:00 P.M. ET on June 14, 2013.

Promotion consists of a Grand Prize "Star-Worthy Sweepstakes" and a Weekly Trivia "Dark Day Giveaways" Sweepstakes, as defined below. Entry into one sweepstakes does not constitute entry into the other. Entry into the Weekly Trivia Sweepstakes is not available on all days of the Promotion Period; see below for details.

Open to legal residents of the 50 United States and Washington, D.C., who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry.

To prepare for entry into the Grand Prize Sweepstakes, first look for codes hidden in promotional images ("Codes") which may appear at the Balance Bar Facebook Page at https://www.facebook.com/BalanceBar, at www.Balance.com, in the Balance Bar Twitter feed (@BalanceBar) on www.twitter.com, or in other locations as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. Codes may appear in the form of a word or alphanumeric sequence. Note that you may be required to "like" the Balance Bar Facebook Page in order to see promotional images at that site. To enter the Grand Prize Sweepstakes, visit www.Balance.com and click on the "Star-Worthy Sweepstakes" link to access the entry form, then follow instructions to complete the form (including a valid Code) and submit the form no later than 5:00 P.M. ET on June 14, 2013. Codes act as a "key" to allow entry into the Grand Prize Sweepstakes but do not affect the determination of winners in the Grand Prize Sweepstakes. Certain Codes will only be valid for entry during a certain portion of the Promotion Period, and where such codes are displayed, a corresponding expiration date will be displayed along with the Code. Limit one (1) entry per person/email address, per Code.

GRAND PRIZE SWEEPSTAKES RANDOM DRAWING: On or about June 19, 2013, an independent judging organization will select the potential Grand Prize Sweepstakes winner in a random drawing from among all eligible Grand Prize Sweepstakes entries received.

GRAND PRIZE: One (1) Grand Prize will be made available, consisting of one (1) 5 day/4 night trip for winner and one (1) guest to Fairbanks, Alaska, including: round trip coach air travel for winner and one (1) guest to the to Fairbanks, Alaska area from the major gateway airport closest to winner's residence; double occupancy hotel accommodations for four (4) nights; ground transportation between destination airport and hotel; an activity selected by Sponsor; and a grand total of $500 spending money awarded in the form of a check made payable to the winner, intended to be used by the winner for meals and incidentals, but issued without restriction. Note that while it is Sponsor's hope that the winner will see the "Northern Lights" during the prize trip, the Northern Lights are an unpredictable natural phenomenon and their appearance during the winner's trip cannot be guaranteed. Any prize details not specified herein shall be determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. Airports, airlines, hotel, and any other elements of the Grand Prize will be selected by Sponsor in its sole discretion. The total approximate retail value of the Grand Prize is $4,600. Actual value may vary based on fare fluctuations and point of departure. Travel dates may be selected by winner (subject to budget, travel availability and Sponsor's approval) and cannot be changed once booked. All travel is subject to approval of Sponsor. Winner and guest must travel on the same itinerary and will be responsible for all necessary travel authorizations and documents. Travel must be completed by April 30, 2014 or prize will be forfeited in its entirety.

To prepare for entry into the Weekly Trivia Sweepstakes, visit the Balance Bar Facebook Page at https://www.facebook.com/BalanceBar on one of the Tuesdays listed below between 12:00:00 PM (Noon) ET and 1:00:00 PM ET (each such period, a "Weekly Entry Period") to see that week's trivia question. Note that you may be required to "like" the Balance Bar Facebook Page in order to see the trivia question. To enter, click on the link provided with the trivia question to access the online entry form, follow instructions to complete the form (including all requested information and your answer to the trivia question), and submit the form no later than 1:00:00 PM ET on that day. Entries from one Weekly Entry Period will not be carried forward into any subsequent Weekly Entry Period. Only entries having a correct answer to the applicable trivia question (as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion) will be included in the applicable random drawing, as described below. Limit one (1) entry per person/email address, per Weekly Entry Period.

WEEKLY TRIVIA SWEEPSTAKES RANDOM DRAWINGS/PRIZES: Within approximately two (2) business days following a particular Weekly Entry Period, an independent judging organization will select two (2) potential Weekly Trivia Sweepstakes Prize winners in a random drawing from among the eligible Weekly Trivia Sweepstakes entries which contain the correct answer to the corresponding trivia question and are timely received during a particular Weekly Entry Period. Weekly Trivia Sweepstakes prizes are as follows (where two [2] such prizes will be awarded for each Weekly Entry Period):

Week 3 (Tuesday, April 30, 2013): $100 Outdoor Sporting Goods Gift Card; Balance Bar T-shirt; Water Bottle; and (1) box of Balance Bars; ARV $140.

Week 4 (Tuesday, May 7, 2013): 7" Tablet Computer; Balance Bar T-shirt; Water Bottle; and (1) box of Balance Bars; ARV $199.
