Promotion shall begin on or about April 29, 2013 and ends with the downloading of the 50,000,000,050th app ("Promotion Period").
For purposes of the Promotion Period, the downloading of the 50,000,000,050th app is considered to be either the downloading of the 50,000,000,050th app from the App Store or the receipt of the non-purchase entry after the download of the 50,000,000,049th app, whichever comes first.
Open only to entrants who are 13 years of age or older at the time of entry, and located in a participating App Store country, please see App Store front page in your country for details.
There are two ways to enter the Promotion:
You will automatically be entered into the Promotion by downloading an app from the App Store.
Non-purchase method: Go to http://www.apple.com/itunes/50-bi...ntry-form/, fully complete an online entry, including your name, complete mailing address (P.O. Boxes not acceptable), telephone number, and birth date. Once your online entry is complete, hit the "Submit" button to submit an entry.
In the United States and Canada, you may also call 1-866-296-5926 for alternative method of entry. Each entry via online form or telephone constitutes one (1) entry into the Promotion.
Limit: Regardless of which method of entry is used to enter the Promotion, only twenty-five (25) entries per person and/or iTunes account and/or email address, per day will be granted.
Fifty-one (51) prizes will be awarded as follows: (i) one (1) prize for the entry (either through an app download or through the non-purchase online entry) sent immediately following the download of the 49,999,999,999th app ("First Prize Winner"), and (ii) fifty (50) prizes for the subsequent fifty (50) entries (either through an app download or through the non-purchase online entry) sent immediately following the download of the 50,000,000,000th app ("Additional Prize Winners"). Any download counter displayed by Sponsor is for illustrative purposes only. The potential winners will be determined by the order of the entries received. In the event that more than one entrant would be a winner based on the simultaneous timing of entries, one entrant will be randomly selected from those entrants as the winner. Each entrant's chances of winning are dependent upon the number of eligible entries received.
One (1) First Prize Winner will receive one (1) Gift Card for credit in an amount equal to USD $10,000, and Fifty (50) Additional Prize Winners will each receive one (1) Gift Card for credit in an amount equal to USD $500, redeemable in the iTunes Store, App Store, and iBookstore, as available in the country in which the applicable winner is located.
Total US Retail Value of all prizes is $35,000.00.

UPDATE: You can download an app for entries OR submit online entry even if you don't have an apple product, I believe.

that's assuming a linear trend. But people will start entering faster once it gets closer. So my prediction is in about 1 hour it will hit
