WB Shop

Update: if you are ordering 6 or more sets, save an extra $10 off $50 with code WBAFSAVE10 which comes out to around $7.50 per 3-disc set. Thanks smilinghelen

For those who missed out on the Fry's deal recently (triple features are all on backorder now), here's another chance to get them from WB Shop.
There are a few new ones that Fry's didn't carry so for those interested.

I believe all are 3-disc sets except for 16 Blocks, Last Boy Scout, and Last Man Standing

Offer is valid today only!

Link to Sale [wbshop.com]= $9 each with free shipping
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

Because their TV is a 10 year old P.O.S. Why else? Smilie

Personally, I stopped buying DVDs long ago:

First I collected collected VHS
Then had to dump them all...(Faded over time and DVDs arrived promising cutting edge features).
Then I collected DVDs...Which eventually would not let me skip the previews/ads, because some widget realized that they could lock out the user and MAKE us watch the crappy previews (and ads of course). Apparently that was the extent of the cutting edge features.

So Blurays I am skipping.... Unless it is a movie I already watched 5 times and plan to watch again 5 more times (IE: Star Wars, LOTR, etc).

The studios killed their audience by doing the lockout thing and I imagine Blurays will be the same (plus I imagine it's even easier to scratch due to density).

And lets not forget 4K TVs will be here soon so Blurays will get replaced as well.

Not saying there is anything wrong with collecting, but I personally gave up for the most part....

is the quality of the picture and sound in any way decreased by putting 3 movies on one disc, or is it 3 seperate discs?

see i skipped DVD knowing something better was around the corner. to me, bluray where the value and picture quality will still be fine for years to come. i dont plan to upgrade to 4k right away (unless i buy a projector, it doesnt seem worth the money at the size TV that fits in my viewing area) and it will be a while before (or IF!) we see 4K remasters of all of these great movies.

re: PUO lockout (where you are disallowed to skip menus) is what you are referring to is called for bluray. It is highly annoying, but for a small cost, you can get a specialized/hacked firmware for some panasonic bluray players that disables this completely! firmware-info.com for more information.

as far as them being easier to scratch.. no way! blurays are MUCH more resilient due to the extra coating that is applied to the disc. even just running your finger over the surface of bluray vs dvd you can tell a huge difference. i own over 600 discs and ive yet to see a scratch on any of them.

the way i see it, like with this deal.. less than $3 to have the BEST quality version available anytime i want without eating up bandwidth or paying for a streaming provider hoping they have it is well worth it to me!

i own all of these triple feature sets from the wbshop. ALL are seperate discs, identical to their single disc retail release versions.

Nice, got the goonies and kubrik stuff. 10 days to ship ugh.. Im wondering the LOTR extended set with photos is a good deal for $48. Don't know if it will come cheaper than $40 ever.

In for the "Losers" triple set and "Snakes/Plane" triple set. Cost me $19.48 after tax for 6 BDs. Not too shabby. Would've been hotter if we could mix and match the triple sets.

I like it because in the Goonies they actually reference Gremlins. (In the scene when Chunk calls the police in the Fratelli's basement and talks about those little creatures that multiply when you throw water on them.)
I think I am the only 80's Kid that hates the Goonies...I never saw it as a kid, but wanted to because EVERYONE was talking about it...

Flashforward to about 5 years ago, I bought it at Target's BF sale when it was $5. Watched it...could not stand it. Maybe because I hate Cory Feldman to the Nth Degree. And of course, he's in a ton of these triple play features...Lost Boys, Goonies, Gremlins, TMNT...ugh.

You listed 20, and many more gives you 3 more. Why not just list the 3? Or were there more, if so please disregard this comment.
