The *official* "Screw you Bill Belichick, get the hell out of my favorite sport, you're ruining the game" thread about the lack any New England Patriots sportsmanship (Now w/ POLL)

24,833 1,948 October 28, 2007 at 05:44 PM
Quick open letter to the head coach of the Patriots:

Dear Mr. Bill,

You're the head coach of the best team in football, congratulations on your tremendous efforts. Now fark off and leave the sport to those that do not just consider it simply a business because you're sucking the fun out of the game and ruining this sport for not only fans of the teams you embarass, but kids that are learning about something you seem to totally lack: sportsmanship.

Its easier to explain Janet Jackson's floppy booby during a wardrobe malfunction than the planned and continued deliberate actions taken by the players under your direction. Sure its your job to win games, are you not good enough to do it without constantly skirting the rules, using deception and just out and out farking cheating? You're a dirty, unkempt, embarassment to the game.

Get the hell out of the sport.

Sincerely,
- Fans of the NFL and the ultimate purveyors of your salary
Against which team would Tom Brady most likely suffer a career-ending injury?

New poll should be "Will the Patriots ever win another Super Bowl with Bill Belichick as head coach?"

I defy either of you to provide a generally acceptable definition for "sportsmanship". Here's a good start from Wikipedia:

Quote :
"Sportsmanship is, in a basic sense, conforming to the rules of sport. More grandly it may be considered the ethos of sport. It is interesting that the motivation for sport is often an elusive element. For example, beginners in sailing are often told that dinghy racing is a good means to sharpen the learner's sailing skills. However, it often emerges that skills are honed to increase racing performance and achievements in competition, rather than the converse."

So we won 52-7, wahhhhhhhh cry me a river. It's football. Should I pull up other teams stats at how badly they've beaten other teams?
I think your post shows quite the lack of so called "SPORTSMANSHIP" you so desire.Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

Little list for ya:
Week 1 ~
New Orleans 10
Indianapolis 41 Final

Week 3 ~
Detroit 21
Philadelphia 56 Final

38-0 and your leading, you have the ball inside the opponets 20, its 4th down, what do you do? If your the Patriots and are cocky and never heard of sportsmanship you go for it. I'm sure little league coaches across america were scratching their head...............................................

I agree.

People came out at the beginning of the season slamming the Pats for "cheating". Which, unfortunately, they were doing. However, this just fueled for the fire for an already stellar New England team. They now have a point to prove this season and they are doing so with an iron fist.

Call it running up the score, call it whatever the fark you want, but the Pats are proving that they are THE dominant force in the NFL right now and are daring teams to try and stop them.

After what happened last week in Miami, I'm not surprised Brady was in until late in the game, just like he should have been, along with the rest of the team. Last week the defense only played a 30 minute game. Today, the defense played all 60 minutes of amazing football. Brady was on fire as was the Pat's offense. The Pats completely wrecked a very decent Redskins team.

Last time I checked, this was the NFL, there is no "Mercy Rule". This ain't pop warner anymore. It's the big leagues and Belichick and the Pats are gonna play every game like it's the super bowl, because they are so good. Everyone needs to quit their whining and grow up. This is the NFL people, this isn't high school anymore. Score as much as you want. Prove your point. And win. This is business, it's not supposed to "sportsman-like" and "fun".

Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) I love now that people can't accuse them of cheating, they pull out the boo-whoo "Your team has no sportsmanship crap" "Wahh belichick wears a ripped hoodie" "OMG Manning can have a record of 49 TD passes and hold a record, but god forbid Brady does that". It's a competitive sport...maybe you all should watch water ballet if it's not too rough for ya vomit

yeah i mean it was pretty trashy going for it on 4th down in the 4th up by 4+ scores...... i mean come on wtf is that?

NE defense was on my fantasy team so i was even kind of rooting for it but while watching i was kind of like wow i hope tom brady gets hurt

theyre asking for one of their impact players to get hurt... opposing teams are gonna start getting dirty when theyre running up the score that way watch and someone will get hurt

So the answer to getting your ass handed to you is playing dirty? You must be in high school, or hell still watching pop warner football. For fark's sake grow up. This is the NFL. It's the big leagues. They aren't playing so they can nail the cheerleader. They are getting paid big bucks to win. And if they want to win big to prove their point that they ARE the number one team in football, by all means let them.

Don't let your jealousy cloud your mind to what an unstoppable team the pats are.
