Amazon order for the year

I just looked at my order status with Amazon to see what i had coming. Amazon has been promising next day or 2 day delivery on items then backing out and saying 3-5 day delivery.

Anyway, I have been placing on average 4.5 orders every week so far this year and each order can have more than one item!

I do wish I could find another play to order stuff i might have to start looking at Newegg and BH Photo along with Walmart/Target to spread my business. Amazon has just not been that reliable of late. Most times I can wait but other times I cannot!

You sound like some of my neighbors - multiple deliveries several times a week. I often wonder what they do with it all - give it away, consume it, or is their house over flowing with stuff?

It's not entirely Amazon's fault. There's a staffing shortage going on with carriers. Just took over a week to get a simple order of dish towels from Crate and Barrel.

I, meanwhile, have placed TWO orders for the whole year totaling around $32. I just don't think that they have any decent prices and usually if they do its just them matching other places and I'd rather give those companies the business instead of supporting slightly less evil Lex Luthor's next phallus shaped ship ride to space.

This is another reason why I also cut back from 4-5 orders a year to 2-3 this year since they showed a promotion offering a gift card for adding another payment method, I did and they welched on adding the gift card. Unfortunately I closed out of the page and one of their wonderful chat reps wouldn't honor it. Why should I support a company that backpedals on the promotions they offer.

Yup, everything says Prime/next day and winds up being three or four days. Not a surprise, this time of year.
