Ok...walked through the configuration (which adds up the price - after student discount), then add it to Cart and dammit...it somehow adds back $318 from the discounted version, even after applying code L8WWGJ8L$VXLF3. Went to proceed to checkout to see if it adds the student discount back along with the $100 off, however, I have to have an account, or I sign in as a guest which requires a school name to go along with the student ID (presumably US33834909 will work).

I faked the school, just to get past that barrier. Still no discount displayed by the time I get to the screen where I was prompted for credit card info.

What school is associated with that ID? I don't know the downstream consequences of having wrong University specified - no $200 egift card?

Also, if we use that ID, who gets the $200 egift card?

The School Name Is Grand Valley State University.
I am sorry I didn't know that it needed that info too.
The member ID is only a way for Dell to track down from which school was the PC purchased- Our school has a deal with dell.....
But the eGift Card will come to your email address - it will be a coupon code kind of thing and you can use it within 90 day.

these deals today blows even with any school discount.. dont waste your time on these..
