Promo SKU Prefixes

157-###-###

Usage: Try using the 9-digit promo SKU by adding 3 extra digits in front of the standard 6-digit SKU.

Why: Various catalogs have advertised discounts listed. (Often either a discounted price or "buy more and save" bulk purchase discount.) Due to the number of discounts listed (too many to post), you're encouraged to try different promo SKUs listed to determine if any savings are available. A few things to note:
(1) Every prefix is unique from others--as far as which items they work with.
(2) No prefix works on all items, so you have to try different ones to get the best deal.
(3) Some items don't change in price no matter what prefix you use.
(4) Some items actually increase in price. Watch out for this.

Dollar- and percent-off coupons (online or in-store--doesn't matter) are never usually not valid on "technology" items. (Very rarely, usually less than a half dozen times per year, OD will release coupons valid for technology items, excluding services and computers. These are almost always in-store only coupons that appear in the flyer, and very rarely will one arrive in the mail.) OD will occasionally issue coupons for specific tech items (e.g., Maxell recordable media or QuickBooks software) which are usually limited to in-store use but sometimes work online as well. If you are shopping in-store for a tech item, then you may be able to use a competitor's coupon since it once was part of OD's corporate current policy [archive.org] does not directly address acceptance of competitors' coupons.
