What is redbox?
Redbox are those big red boxy things at many grocery stores these days where you can rent DVD's. Works better than Netflix for me because I don't watch movies often and it is MUCH cheaper than renting a movie from a Blockbuster store. Try it out. DVD's rented from Redbox can be returned to
ANY Redbox location. It's $1 per night per rental. New nights start at either 7:00pm or 9:00pm, it has been extended in some areas, it will say the due back time when you check out.
Some advice:
Check the disc to make sure it's not scratched badly before you leave, if it is just rent another copy,
then return the first, call customer service and they will credit you without a problem.
As far as I know coupon codes
don't work if you rent the DVDs online then pick it up in the store.

The girl-on-girl action with Ashley Greene was also pretty good.

ANYWAY, just wondering if they ever sent out replacement discs or if someone has recently rented it. For all the time I spend asking the question & not getting a response on facebook I should just rent the DVD.

I must have posted it in another thread, but I believe I and others rented it on / near the generic Valentines day code.
Oh well, I'll give it another go either way.

Anyway, yes the PS3, the Sony's BR players & the Samsung HTIB are all up to date with firmware. If it's one device it's usually the issue, something with the damnable copy protection not playing right with the device. But this was 5 devices from me & literally 100's more reports on the redbox facebook page in that day or two when someone mentioned others had the same issue & I should check it out. I'm confident the discs were a bad copy.
I got into reading an interesting thread on AVS forum about how seemingly to punish people like me, who 99% of the time rent only, some movie studios are providing a less stellar/less pristine usually 25GB Blu-ray version of the movie instead of the original 50GB versions. Apparently, the thought process behind the studio "geniuses" that came up with that one is that if people really like the movie they will pay to see the higher quality version & get the extras that some of these rental only discs have.
But.... Unless you know that going in, what is the average movie renter to think? Um, hey this movie looks like $#i+, glad I didn't blow $12-$18 bux on buying it.
P.S. I discretely marked the rental disc so I'd know if I rented the same one again.
