What is redbox?
Redbox are those big red boxy things at many grocery stores these days where you can rent DVD's. Works better than Netflix for me because I don't watch movies often and it is MUCH cheaper than renting a movie from a Blockbuster store. Try it out. DVD's rented from Redbox can be returned to
ANY Redbox location. It's $1 per night per rental. New nights start at either 7:00pm or 9:00pm, it has been extended in some areas, it will say the due back time when you check out.
Some advice:
Check the disc to make sure it's not scratched badly before you leave, if it is just rent another copy,
then return the first, call customer service and they will credit you without a problem.
As far as I know coupon codes
don't work if you rent the DVDs online then pick it up in the store.

And while I appreciate people who post their codes for others to use, what I can't seem to understand are the "Quote if you use the code" posts. If you post a code, you're basically throwing a $20 bill into a large crowd. Asking people to then "Quote if you use the code" is like paper-clipping a note to the $20 bill that says "Please text me if you use this $20 bill." What's the point? You threw the money at a bunch of strangers with the assumption that someone will pick it up and use it. The logical conclusion is that it will be picked up a short time after it is thrown, so why the concern for knowing when or who picked it up?
I suppose one explanation would be so that other people don't waste their time trying to use it, but really, with the amount of people monitoring this thread, unless you use it within minutes of it being posted it can be safely assumed that it's gone.
Am I missing something?
It used to be you could stick the code in "job" or "interests" and only members could view it, but now all I see is activity stream and nothing else and no options to control displaying the extra info.
Unless maybe it's only hidden in the midnight theme that I use.
I always use these cards at Redbox before depleting the whole card.
Each new card is good for as many free Redbox rentals as you can get codes.
You can use them for the three main codes I know of, breakroom, dvdnight, and dvdonme.
On top of that, you can use them for other limited time promotional codes, e.g. fathers day, kroger, etc etc.
I assume this will work on all forms of prepaid/gift credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover) but I'm not sure about that, just an assumption.
Apparently prepaid Amex cards may or may not work depending on the issuer.
I recently was thanked when I brought this up in a Staples thread and I figured, why not create a new thread.
Hopefully this isn't a dupe, if so just MA it and I apologize in advance.
If it's not a dupe, I hope this info helps at least some people.
For me, I haven't paid for a Redbox in over a year because of this.
If anyone knows of any other codes that aren't time limited, I'll add them to the OP.

Each code is good once per card.
I keep getting new cards so I always have a card available to use those three codes on.
Also, most prepaid/rebate AMEX cards do not work at Redbox.
But the three main codes that always work are listed in the OP.
breakroom, dvdnight, and dvdonme.
Visit Redbox.com and it tells you to text 727272 to sign up. On average, you receive one to two free movie rental codes per month via text, and one to two free game rental codes per month (usually a free code per month plus an additional code to celebrate a holiday).
The other three codes that the OP posted are always-free codes that work once per card.

The codes like DVDONME, BREAKROOM worked for each card once.. Thanks for the new code DVDNIGHT..
Basically, each VISA card will give you 3 free movies.. The codes work as free for DVDs and .39 cents for blu-rays.. But make sure you have atleast $1 balance in the card..
