That happened to my sister & I once. The tire actually came off on the way home. The tire company couldn't get there fast enough to aid us. He was probably afraid Dad would sue, but my parents weren't the suing type. Just thank God neither of you were hurt. It could have been so much worse.
SH: that car thing with no lugs is scary. That happened to my dad once, he drove out of the shop and the wheel came off around the block. Eek!
I had a quick lube place forget to put my oil cap back on in college. I was sitting in rush hour traffic to get hoe and my check engine light was on, the oil light. There was nothing I could do. Thankfully I made it home, wen to the oil place the next day, and they "recharged" my oil for free.
Hope things are going good for you!
I'm not ready for the holidays but I'm always ready to shop!!!
sounds like a great plan... i think higher education is always a good idea. hope it's all going well!

Update: I finally got in contact with the service manager. Seems like he was avoiding my call, till their IT person came in. They will see if they have video footage of the lugs not being put back on my car. My dad said that if they find anything, they'll probably just discreetly fire the person responsible but tell me that they couldn't find the video. They don't want to pay for anything. I want the lug studs replaced, not expensive, and I want the car inspected. They don't want to take any responsibility. Said it's impossible for it to have stayed on for 6 weeks. Said there would have been a loud vibration, which there wasn't, so I know that's BS. I'll wait to hear back from them, but I don't know what to do. It's extremely unlikely that someone tried to take my lugs, since they're worth $2-4 each, and aren't worth the effort. I have wheel locks, making a person who owns a torque wrench, unlikely to try and take my tire. I don't know of anyone that it's happened to, so I'm quick to rule it out. I drove for about 500 miles in those 6 weeks. No vibration, only a slight ticking sound that would go away in the week prior to discovering the missing lugs.
And, baby and I are sick with colds. It's just really really not my week.
I even called yesterday, and they told me that there were limited quantities of the black. Ugh.
My original order is in tact, luckily, so I'll get the Amex deal, but I'm really bummed on missing out on the shoes I wanted so badly.

When I called, the best they could offer was 30% off a regular priced item... and next day shipping.. blegh..
Can I hop on the Red333 made me buy a bunch of stuff I wasn't intending to!! -train? I currently have $200+ of WHBM dresses... only maybe $75 of which I will be returning The instant slimming ones fit so darn well...and I can actually wear a regular bra with them... and the quality....
We had a scary experience with lug nuts as well... completely DH's fault though. We were once driving on the freeway in DH's truck with mud tires and a lift kit on it. He hadn't been maintaining it while he was in college- so no tire rotations. The lug nuts rusted onto the wheels and many years after college (still unmaintained), they started snapping off one by one without us noticing. The thing had bad handling anyway so it wasn't until there was ONE lugnut left and it became so difficult to handle that DH pulled off the freeway and we saw what happened. On a regular car wheel, 1 lug nut is a big deal... on a truck wheel with mud tires, this thing was wobbling by nearly half a foot. We went to the nearest store to get a truck dolly/jack and we couldn't get the last nut off. It cost $175 for the "special tow" by AAA (because they took the wheel off so this lifted truck was down on it's front axel on the bed of the tow truck)... just across the street to the Toyota dealership where by that time it was after hours so we left the truck in their lot, the keys in an envelope explaining what had happened.... They charged us nearly $600 to remove the rusted lug and put the wheel back on with new lugs... That night, we had to spend at SIL's. That was truly a test of our relationship
Not good... I think I flashed mil. Oops! Ran to kohls to pick up a cami. Lol.

Pretty amazing dresses at WHBM, no? Such a step up form express right now, and the prices are super good, if you can find what you're looking for in your size. I just bought two more stresses there this weekend...I now have a tub of "work clothes," since I can be so casual right now.
Anyway, glad I could help. Between WHBM and Cole Haan, I'm over my fashion budget, but I haven't bought that many things that I love this much so it's totally worth it

I have an extra piece of peach felt, extra white fabric, black embroidery thread, a long dark blue matching scarf... so I can make an extra pokemon hat for hubby without him seeing me shop for supplies... will make it in secret and present as a surprise for him to wear for Halloween.. He's been eyeing up DS's hat, and wistfully trying to put it on...

Your comments on the WHBM dresses are making me consider them again when it's on sale!
Do the instant slimming ones have a lot of fabric to hold everything in?
On average, about how much did it come out to per piece?
