Sirius XM: EXTEND your current subsription at a discounted rate. (Or reactivate) YMMV

This is great news for those of us that hate doing the retention dance every few months with SXM.

Goto https://care.siriusxm.com/winback_view.action and enter your Radio and Account ID and see what it offers. Should be one of the following (or better?):
5mth Select for $20
6mth Select for $25
6mth Select for $30

Who knows what you'll get. But the good news is you can extend your current subscription and put off having to call retentions for a while = Priceless!

Also good news to know: If you're like me and will not give SXM your CC#, you're charged a $2 invoice fee. As soon as you get off the phone go to your account and look if it's there, then just chat and request the charge be removed. SXM did an "Event Adjustment" no questions asked. It took me all of about 30 seconds woot

And lastly, this appears to be the current direct # to an American retention CSR: 1-888-601-6302

Would not let me extend my subscription said I had a active one. Also how did you manage this without giving your CC #..

Bummer, the deal it shows for my inactive car receiver (inactive for 2 months) is 6 months of Sirius Select for $29.94. I don't want the Select package because it includes premium channels I could care less about (NASCAR and Howard Stern).

Best deal I got before was 6 months for $24. Haven't received that offer just yet, but usually after a few months of being inactive they start sweetening the deal for me.

Maybe it's the holidays but I just called to cancel because my 6 mo promo of 49.99 for the all access package ran out today, and the woman on the call offered a $119 + fees for a 1 year rate first and I said no thanks and she said then I can offer you the exact same deal you have and I said OK, and after reading back to me my current information, it was done. This was my first renewal and I feared the worst going into it from the comments I've read. But that was what I was hoping for basically, the same deal, which im not sure if its possible to get it for less for all access. I called 1-866-245-7234.

Listener care = Who cares. Never again with them lie'n Cheat'n Skumbags.. Who wants to play "listener care" roulette with a script reading operator literally from another world. Not me.They auto payed me twice for a yearly sub even after I was promised a paper statement.. ARG..

"Listener care"? I was getting Re-Ups statements for a car I did not own that they said I just bought in another state. They would not even tell me how they got my info attached to that car! I can only assume I am a victim of identity theft. Listener care? Nope it is LISTEN WHO CARES! Just like the cable and satellite companies. No one really works for them. You wont get anything straightened out if you try, and try and try again..

When I see those Stupid commercials on tv it brings all those bad feeling up again. I wonder just how many people fall for these "special" prices.. If they cant price the service at a reasonable price, or If they demand Auto pay, Why bother with it? Up your data plan on your phone and use it for music. This tech is no longer needed in a Iheart / Spotify age.

lol I had service like that for an extra 1-2 months.

What you need to do, and seeing this topic just made me notice my 5 month expires in 2 days, is call them and tell them you want to cancel. I usually say I'm a college student and don't really listen to it often. They will offer you a few packages similar to those in the OP, just keep declining until you get one you like. Best I got is the 5mo for $20, couldn't refuse further and didn't know when they would stop offering a discounted rate.
