Assholes that don't return business calls as a regular part of their job are such douchebags Angry
I've left a woman that I really really need time sensitive assistance with 2 very polite messages and she cant seem to have the courtesy to return my calls Blowup

I have old friends that work in neighbor/associated offices and I really don't want to have to ask them a favor about getting this woman off her ass because its kind of a personal thing. UGH

That's usually what they say right? I'm just following instructions.

I can offer hugs and Kisses though if you prefer them.

Because it took me this long to think of it, or that someone put the speedometer needle on pointing at 9MPH when the car is stopped, or something else?
Kind of all of it. The fact that it would even be an issue in the first place combined with the aha moment of "wait, the idiot messed up the speedo, I wonder if..."

It did take sort of an embarrassingly long time for me to notice the speedometer issue laugh out loud
I mean, I noticed on my initial drive home from KS that the speedometer was wrong, but it was weeks before I noticed it never points at 0 (well, actually, it does point at 0... when I'm moving in reverse).

one advantage of being a sysadmin, is that you can unselect that checkbox on your own profile and not worry about the x deadline to change it, yet change it on a more natural schedule.

Also I'm glad that I use a different account for the admin stuff vs. my daily driver account.

My natural schedule of "when an account associated with that password is compromised"? laugh out loud
I'm reminded of a quote from, I believe, Steve Gibson, talking about how a stolen password isn't travelling by camel or something.

That's a name I don't see very often,

Probably a first for it to be in the lounge!

VQ's Gnats decided to beat the snot outta my Barves in the first four innings tonight, while I was treating Mrs. Frog to a Chinese dinner and then shopping for pork ribs at Sam's Club. I came home to season/rub the ribs, then turned on the game and saw the score, 5-0, Gnats. shake head

Rib rub/seasonings: (for 8 pounds of ribs)

6 tsp dark brown sugar
4 tsp salt
4 tsp smoked paprika
2 tsp red cayenne pepper
2 tsp white pepper
2 tsp ground cumin
2 tsp dry mustard
2 tsp onion powder
2 tsp garlic powder

Mix well and spread / rub over the ribs.
Wrap/cover with plastic wrap and marinade in the fridge for a few days.

The plan is to smoke them for about 1.5 to 2 hours, then finish them in the oven at 350 for another few hours.
Finally, they're going to get a sweet glaze:

Apple juice
Apple cider vinegar
Apricot jam
Coarse ground mustard
