The lesson I would take away from your experience is that if you are going to take the time to enter sweeps, that you have a way to check email at least once per day. There are so many public hot spots available now, not to mention smart phones with data plans. Even most public libraries have computers with internet access these days. I really hope it works out for you somehow, but please come up with some sort of backup plan for when that type of situation happens again. In the mean time, keep plugging away and good luck.

If I was you I would call them immediately and explain the situation. If they didn't choose an alternate winner, in which sometimes they do if they don't receive the affidavit by a certain date, if that's the case then you're out of luck
