Seeing there has been a lot more vaping threads, I figured it would be nice to start a thread here in the lounge where vapers could chat, discuss vaping, deals on vaping, and their setups.I have noticed a lot of vapers in the forums and people who are looking to try out vaping.
So if you are a vaper, looking to quit smoking, or just looking for some info come join us
Those not interested in vaping or looking to discuss/debate health topics, negatives or anti-vaping opinions are more then welcome to post elsewhere. This is not the place.

So I started vaping about 2 years ago. The standard EGO twist starter kit from Vapor Shark. I was doing great with 18mg juice for about 4 months, then I tried lowering the nicotine. I started smoking again shortly thereafter.
Fast forward to about 3 months ago. I tried my friends set up. DNA 30 clone box mod, Fogger V4 running dual coils. Went to a vape shop and bought his set up.
Since then I have gone on a rampage. Smoke occasionally, maybe 4 cigs a day when I am at work.
Here is what I got since I started again.
Fogger v4.1
IPV mini 2 (70w) Fantastic
Kayfun Lite
Kayfun v4 - My tank of choice
Stingray X Mechanical Mod
Marquid RDA - Flavor is amazing
Plume Veil RDA - Easier to refill, great flavor but not as good as Marquis
I am building by own coils, at first I was a little hesitant. I love the drop ins like the Kanger Mini, but would rather rebuild than spend $5 for a new coil and change it out every couple of weeks.
My current mods that I rotate daily (hourly?) are a Nemesis clone or an Astro telescopic with an Aspire Atlantis, iGo M clone, or KayFun Lite Plus v2 clone. I also have fallen back in love with my Joyetech eGrip recently since I purchased the eGrip RBA base.
I still rotate in the Kato 18650, but it's a little heavy/bulky.
I have pretty much switched to Juice Mafia 50/50 juices when they have their 2 x 50mL for $25 sales.
Feel free to ask any questions.
Thanks.
How would the health effects of vaping not be considered on topic in a vaping thread?

That said, I'd be interested to hear what the different mods are for. I hear the term and see the giant flask-like battery packs in store, but I have no idea what the difference is. I'd also be interested to hear from anyone who makes there own juice and how they got started.
BTW, and OT, I'm planning on heading to Boston for my next trip. You'd better hide.
So on topic, what's your favorite juice flavor?
Sunday Brunch is my favorite. 60ml runs $28.00 at local vape shops in Miami. They are pretty much always sold out of that flavor. Rooster Juice and Timbo are the other flavors. Both are good. Sunday Brunch is a Pancake and Blueberry mix.
Aisle 7 makes a juice called Nora's Dream. It tastes like Fruit Loops. ANML has a similar juice, I don't know the name. I love the Nora's Dream.
Cuttwood's Sugar Bear is very good. I don't like their other offerings.
Vitruevape's Mutta2Butta is a nice custardy juice. I like it.
I stopped buying Spacejam, Obsession, Liqua...
I love the RDA because you really can't taste the juice from the testers they have in vape shops.
I need to find a sample juice company that carries the big name brands, not juice their own juice.
Some vapers use just Vegetable Glycerin or Propylene Glycol, heres a good explanation of the ingredients.

A standard cylindrical mechanical mod is around 22mm in diameter (not including massive 26650 mods). Some are telescopic and can adjust to different battery lengths, some have removal sections that can configure in ways to accommodate different battery lengths, and some have a non adjustable length so you HAVE to use a specific battery length. It's more ergonomics and fashion statement, since mechanical mods all do the same thing, lol.
Since mech mods have different designs and are made of different materials, one should check for voltage drop. A fresh battery should put out 4.2v off the charger when measured. If you put the battery in the mod and measure the voltage between the positive and negative post, it should ideally measure 4.2v. It's not uncommon for the voltage to be less 4.1v or 4.0v. This has to do with conductivity of the mod.
Stand alone lithium ion batteries come in many cylindrical sizes but the most common ones are 18650, 18500, 18490, & 18350. you can more or less dissect these numbers into physical size... 18650 = 18mm diameter 65.0mm in length. 18350 = 18mm diameter 35.0mm length.
The bigger the battery, the higher the mAh (milliamp hours), the longer it will retain a charge under similar conditions.
It's pretty toxic. Also, i'm pretty sure people who make their own juice aren't using EPA approved disposal methods... probably just rinsing spills down the drain...

Be careful with this... usually liquid nicotine is sold in concentrations of 100mg/mL.
