Hi all,

I started this thread for anyone who wants to come here for lite discussion, jokes, and just general discussion and fun.

Everyone is welcome!

I was thinking that maybe it would be helpful to keep the original thread to a bit more of a serious discussion of the clues and answers.

This would make the original thread more useful to those seeking serious information and clues without having to read through hundreds of extraneous messages.

So, I hope it catches on !

Hey FB, I know you have a garden... do you grow any squash ? Curious if you deal with squash bugs ?? and what you use if so. Those little bastids destroyed my plants the last few years. It was a daily never ending battle trying to keep up with them..... which I lost.Mad

I saw my first squash bug today. Would also like to know how to deal with them.

Neem oil helps. If you saw one.... look on the underside of the leaves for egg clusters. If you don't get rid of the eggs and they all hatch your plants are doomed. There could be dozens in one cluster !!! Soapy "Dawn" water sprayed on the young hatch will smother them pretty quick. It will also smother the adults but you have to chase them around the plant and keep spraying them. PITA !!! I try to pick them off and either smash them or drop them in a can, along with any eggs I can pick off, with some paint thinner in it.

Yeah, not that much of a problem, but when we have I just hit em with dawn at first sight.

i'll try the dawn. i did pick off some eggs with some sticky tape.

Found a few more clusters today, don't know if they were new or ones I missed the other day. Then I sprayed all my plants with Neem. Didn't see any adults.
