On the light side:
latest Evanovitch (don't bother!) latest krentz (OK) and just for school bus drivers:-) Continum by Portia da Costa (Virgin Black lace for girls in the knowOMG )

I used to be a huge Cussler fan. IMHO he seems to just be cranking out books with out much thought put into them at all recently. The whole Pitt jr/ Summer thing could have given the books some new life/direction, but then he decided to reduced Summer's character to just another damsel in distress. I haven't decided if I'm going to even bother picking up Treasure of Khan. I'd be interested to hear what you think of Black Wind

Oh and right now I'm reading 1633 by Eric Flint & David Weber and Democracy in America by Tocqueville

My husband read that one. He has started it several times over the years and then just buckled down and did it. It took him almost 6 months to slog through it. He admitted to skimming some of the speech - and he NEVER does that. He's glad to have it behind him.

Right now I'm reading Ender's Shadow - the second series by Orson Scott Card in the Ender's Game thread. If you haven't read Ender's Game, I highly recommend it. I read the entire 4 book series in 3 weeks. It was that good.
