What does "age of majority (sometimes abbreviated as AoM+) in your state or province" mean?
The age of majority is the threshold of adulthood as it is conceptualized in law. It is the chronological moment when children legally assume majority control over their persons and their actions and decisions, thereby terminating the legal control and legal responsibilities of their parents over and for them.

In most U.S. states, the age of majority is 18, except for Nebraska and Alabama (19), and Mississippi (21). The age of majority in American Samoa and Puerto Rico is 14.

Occasionally, a less than ethical sweep will get posted. You might end up finding unauthorized charges on your phone bill. This is called "cramming". Once you contact the company that's charging you, and you have requested your phone company remove the charge, you can file a complaint with the FCC.

Thanks for the tips everyone. I entered a bunch today, and I plan to get at least a few entries in every day from now on. I'll keep at it and hopefully have something nice to show for it before the summer ends.
Another newb question: Sweeps always say they'll contact you by email, mail, and/or phone. What's the most common? I worry because I'm a lot more likely to ignore a phone call from a number I don't recognize than to miss an email or letter.

Usually email. Larger wins are usually by phone, at least in my case.
I always check how they're going to contact me so I at least know that I won't have to check a website or for a FB announcement.
Btw, all of my larger wins have been from single entry sweepstakes so don't feel like you have to spend hours a day to win something.

I always pick up my phone, any company worth their salt will respect your privacy. 1) I'm on do not call lists 2) I always opt out of sales calls. Company doesn't have a good privacy policy don't enter, nor buy their products.

I don't see why you couldn't sell a prize. I won an iPad back in January and I sold it to get a different tablet I wanted.

"My Name" facebook winner
(you can even view from a certain time period--by day, week, month, year).
Make sure you to use quotes on your name...instead of my name, you would use first then last name or first name last initial.
