HU. Received an email from Samsung for participating in the The Ultimate Test Drive Offer from last year so check your email! YMMV
Looks like you will get to keep the phone after 6months.
Thank you for signing-up to try Samsung's cutting-edge Galaxy phones under the Samsung
Ultimate Test Drive (SUTD) program.
While our teams re-evaluate on how best to take the SUTD program forward, we wanted to introduce you to a different program that Samsung has been running for several years now - Samsung Device Insights.
This invitation-only program is designed to include you, the customer, in the process of making sure our products and services remain best-in-class. As a part of this study, we will provide selected candidates one of Samsung's latest Mobile devices such as Galaxy S7, Note 5 and others. Installed with our proprietary Samsung Mobile Insights App, it will help us to understand how you use our phones – things you like, things you don't – without much effort expected from you after the initial set-up. After 6 months of using the phone as your primary device and meeting the program requirements, the phone will be yours to keep!
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

People cannot refer anyone at this point. The only time people can refer is when they are accepted in the program, they will be able to refer 3 people. At least that's how it's been in the past. Also, it's only usually 6 months, but now they are doing a year that you have to keep the phone, so not sure if they will change the referral process too. There is also no way to "Sign up" now. You had to have emailed them middle of last year or prior to that.
I got the email as well but wanted to make sure it was legit before doing anything. This looks awesome. I need a lot more info on what they collect though.
I got the email too. The sign-up link opened an email reply, rather than taking me to an online form. Was that the same for everyone?
The test drive program worked on me. I was happy with my S4, but test drove a S6 Edge last year. I was impressed by the better reception on band 4 and 12 (I'm on T-Mobile), so I immediately bought a S6.

I wound up signing up for it regardless.

Nope, it simply brought up an e-mail window to send them an e-mail to, I guess, participate in the program.
