So, everyone uses different browsers, from IE to FireFox to Safari.

Sometimes people paste Coupons.com/Bricks links that they recieved in FireFox, which do not work in Internet Explorer or vice versa. You get the "Please wait..." or "Please Install The Coupon Printer" even if you already did.

This trick will allow you to simply change 2 characters in the URL to make a FireFox link work in Internet Explorer and vice versa

Here's how easy it is, the following is a FireFox link:
hxxp://bricks.coupons.com/Start.asp?tqnm=ri3peuo59687503&bt=wg&o=53740&ci=1&c=GM&p=TyQrvJAY

note the "wg" in the URL. This link gives the repeating Please Install The Coupon Printer in Internet Explorer.

To make that link an Internet Explorer link we simply change "wg" to "wi" OR "vi" (in this case, both variations work, other coupons it may be wi or vi, trial and error):
hxxp://bricks.coupons.com/Start.asp?tqnm=ri3peuo59687503&bt=wi&o=53740&ci=1&c=GM&p=TyQrvJAY
or
hxxp://bricks.coupons.com/Start.asp?tqnm=ri3peuo59687503&bt=vi&o=53740&ci=1&c=GM&p=TyQrvJAY

UPDATE: If you want to print Bricks coupons on a MAC with Safari, replace the "wg", "wi", or "vi" to "xs". You can also do the reverse, take a Safari link "xs" to IE "wi" or "vi" or to FireFox "wg".

You do the opposite if you want to print an Internet Explorer link in FireFox!

Just saw a referral to this thread from another. Evidently the Mods didn't sticky it. In case anyone would like to sticky this, and doesn't know how, here you go - Go up to thread tools towards the upper right of the OP. Click on that, and a drop-down menu will appear. Click on stick the thread to the top. That's it. Next time you open the coupons thread, it will be shown there with the other stickys. HTH

I think I had posted this in the printable coupon forum and someone moved it here. This thread is for Bricks coupons. We're having problems with SmartSource coupons which are not the same software.

I've even had e-mailed SmartSource about the issue and I told them that I had done everything as per their help information.

They still told me to check my Java.

Last week, I did update Java and I printed three SmartSource coupons at once. Two printed fine, then the third came out with just an icon again. Since then, just icons. It doesn't matter if I use FF or IE along with Win2K or Vista. I think my Mac stopped working since that's running 10.3 and the java won't update anymore.

I think the software manufactures need time to update their software to make it work with Snow Leopard. It's been out only a week. So, just give it time. Since it's Mac, developers tend to take their time.

Here is the link that keeps looping for me......I even tried to install the coupon printer. I tried changing the vg to vi and wi but still no luck. It is a campbells coupon. Any help with this one?

Printed fine with FF in W2K. Have you tried different browsers? If one doesn't work for me I'll try the other (FF/IE).

So, I can't say what the issue is. But, that is a good coupon, especially if your store doubles $1 q's.

This brings back so many memories of a year ago when I had the same printing issues. I constantly was installing the printer software. What worked for me was using Firefox and can print most coupons now still have an issue with Smartsource thought.

When I had coupons.com on the phone the other day (two days after we installed the Snow Leopard software) they said it would be at least 3 to 4 weeks before the update was out and that they would call me when it was.

i've been using smartsource, coupons.com, redplum etc for months. suddenly i can't print any of them and getting messages that i am "disabled." what does this mean?

You might try to update your version of java as that is needed to print these. Just go to www.java.com and you should be able to do this.

If you're smart and running some kind of program like Spybot S&D or AdAware or Malwarebytes, once a week or more, you don't have to worry about printing Bricks, SmartSource, StartSampling, etc. Those sites (and some others) don't put malware or spyware on your computer, other than cookies (which many other sites put on your computer, as well).

Those programs will detect the coupon printers as 'tracking' devices, and give you the option to remove them. I just install and uninstall the printers when I need them.

There are some coupon sites that are bogus--I think, though, that if you are a regular reader of this forum, you'll get the heads-up when something isn't what it seems Smilie

First off, under your settings -> printers -> selected printer (right click) -> preferences . Make sure the check box is not ticked for advanced settings. Or you may have a drop down menu for advanced printing, make it disabled. Otherwise, you'll get white pages and they count as if you printed them.

So, that might be why your being told you've printed already.
