i dont know how to stop loving someone.

the guy im in love with is going to join the air force and wont ever be moving back here. i always thought we'd be together, get married and grow old together. it kills me inside to know he loves me but isnt in love with me anymore. i cant date anyone because i'll just keep comparing them and think "he's not adam". i've never really been in love with someone and not have them love me back the same way. i dont what to do. i dont feel like time heals all wounds. i dont feel like any amount of time will stop me from being in love with him.

You can't really ever stop loving someone. If you truely love someone, part of you always will no matter what.

I know a lot about the situation and I think that you need to tell him how you feel and that you want a relationship with him. You have to lay it out there or it won't get addressed.

As hard as it might seem, if he's never going to move back to where you are, you unfortunately have to understand that and accept it and move on.

Unfortunately, he's right. You do need to get over him. He's extremely selfish if he's doing this "for him" and refuses to listen to you.

You'll find your soul mate. Adam obviously isn't yours.

I don't think I've seen a Grey's Anatomy episode that covers this issue unfortunately. And that's about all I know about medical procedures or relationships.

You'll get over him (mostly) eventually. And later in life you might find him again. It's happened to me.

Comfort GG, if he doesn't want to be with you in the same way you want to be with him he just isn't "your guy". I know it's hard to hear and harder for your heart to understand, but you don't want to be in a one sided relationship. If he's telling you need to get over him and move on, then he just doesn't feel the same. hug You don't have to stop loving him, you just need to accept that he feels differently and that he is not the one for you.
