No. No differentiation is made as to whether your card is a student or non-student. Just maintain some activity to prevent your account from being closed and you're set. I don't know about Chase...

PLum was also designed with small businesses in mind. I believe the grace period of purchases is double of what normal cards are...at least that is how I originally remember it being marketed.

Eh. If you really think about it, if that's ALL that it gives (e.g. 1.5% on everything, no larger %'s for certain types of purchases), then you're only gaining 0.5% over other cards that do not have...

The only way possible online is to notice your available credit limit drop by the amount you made your purchase. Other than that, I doubt they actually see the exact charge on the CC account...

I'd just be careful about these % back because they usually don't last a "lifetime". Always think for a about a 2 year time frame. My Citi Diamond was suppose to be 5% lifetime for everyday...

I don't know if that's card dependent or credit card dependent. All but 1 of my cards have never jumped APR in 10 years; Chase was the only one who tried to pull some shadiness.
