I am using K-Lite codec Mega pack and the player is the Media Player Classic.
This is rips. Extension is all .mkv
Nothing show up in the event log. So I still dont know how to troubleshoot...

just noticed, you bought a "used" cpu - any chance that the person before you failed at overclocking it or something? have you tested it with the intel burn test or prime95 or something similar?

Go download Mediainfo (I suggest the "no installer" version) http://mediainfo.sourceforge.net/en/Download/Windows and then run it on a file that plays fine, and a file that crashes.

My gut is telling me to check that psu. It may have nice specs but it may also be damaged. Visually inspect it to look for exploded caps.

Uninstall the k-lite codec pack and mpc you have.
Download Media player classic home cinema (google it).
