Ps3 media server can access literally EVERY file on your computer, you could rip the dvd to the computer and just find where your ripped it and play it from there, and it doesn't matter what format...

Media server is awesome.... Op you do know you need another program to crack the encryption on the disk... Their are one click programs that do everything for you like anydvd and others...doom9...
