They are great for RAID. I haven't heard anything about them that would make them bad like the WD Caviar Black's timeout thing. I have 3 in my array right now, waiting for this drive to drop to $90...

Seems like a good deal on a 2TB 7200 RPM drive with 64MB Cache & 6.0Gb/s SATA. Those specs probably aren't necessary for a home/media server, but it would make a nice desktop drive.
